Blizzard does some of the best CG cutscenes in the entire industry.

Man, I really can't wait for Diablo 3...

I watched this, shit my pants, then realized I hadn't watched the original WoW and TBC CG intros, so I watched them, and shit my pants twice.

"YOU ARE NOT PREPARED."

And that giant dragon (not up to date on what things are called in the Warcraft universe, haven't beaten WC3 yet) thing looks fucking boss. I hope you get to fight it.

So pretty.  Cool concept behind the intro too, contrasting his father's words and what Arthas has become and Arthas using his father's advice to inspire his undead minions.

You do get to fight it.

I wish WoW was more like the CG stuff. I'd love to rush into a huge battle with hundreds of those undead guys destroying something like IronForge and clean house.

I wonder if I should start playing WoW again.

dooo it so I have a reason to roll on Muradin.

Okay so I'm seriously considering playing WoW again. Will any of you WoW players teach me how to have fun with this game?

It's really all in your head, the fun to this game. If you wanna be fatalist, the truth is; WoW is about killing things. That's it. Outside of killing things, there isn't much to do 'cept rape the economy with AH. The fun has to be what you look for, and what kind of play style you're after. If you like playing by yourself, then exploring the MASSIVE world in WoW is always fun, unless you've seen it all.

The main thing to understand is that 1-70 isn't WoW. Really, no matter what anybody tells you, leveling is basically an extremely long tutorial. The game starts at endgame, regardless of how ironic that sounds. At endgame, you can grind your professions and get fucking rich, join a guild and do raids and instances (what I hope to do), simply explore the areas of the game (much easier to do at 70 because if you happen upon some mighty motherfucker, just lay the smackdown). If you lack any improvisational creativity, WoW is never going to be fun, but more like a punishing addiction. You have to make the fun for yourself, and that's the beauty I see in it. Walking around questing, I'll come to some alcove and see this big monster and I'll get all excited, just happening upon all the things in WoW.

That's all I know. What I said up there is what makes me like WoW so much, maybe for other people 1-70 is the game and the endgame is shit, but to me, the game is only beginning when you've finished leveling.

Everyone come on. Race me to lvl 60.  :lol

I want to, but you'll probably win, and it looks my schedule is going to push WoW into a "if I have time" thing this school year.

I could never get into WoW because playing by myself got boring as fuck. I'd try and join up with people but normally they were fucking nitwits. I want to fight big monsters with semi-intelligent people. If anyone can offer me that I'll buy WoW next Sunday(I'll get a free 30 days right?) from direct2drive.

We can't do it duo. But I'd be more than happy to make a new thread in Gaming and actually make a good guild this time around, one that keeps a steady raid schedule. The only part you're going to dislike is leveling, but once we'd all get to endgame, it's smooth sailing from then on for your thirst of vanquishing giant monsters.

I can deal with leveling, I just want people who aren't brain dead to play with. If you want to make a guild, that would be great and hopefully people join it so it isn't shit. I'll buy it next Sunday, assuming that the Direct2Drive version has the 30 day trial.

Do I still need to put in credit card info in order to play?

I think so. I play it safe and just use game cards. Make sure the D2D comes with the 30 day trial. What service are you using? I think the official site sells digital copies of the game now. I'd recommend just buying the WoW Battle Chest, srsly.

I have a WoW account but I can't remember my fucking login details. I have my Burning Crusade CD Key, if I call them and give them the CDKey do you think they can give me the account details?

Does the Blizzard store accept paypal?

You don't even remember the email attached to it? If you don't use any of the previous contact information, then the best you can do is make a new one. I don't think CD Keys are attached to the account, but I'd say it's worth a shot to call Blizzard support up, because you do have to 'upgrade' your WoW account when you have TBC using the CD Key, so maybe they are attached.

And I'm not sure.

The email I had attached to it was a comcast email, after I switched to Verizon I lost that email address. I had them open the account before like this after I quit for exactly a year then got BC because GAF said I should.

If you used the TBC CDKey on that Comcast-email WoW account, you should be good, just change the e-mail information in Manage Account. If you still know the email and have that CDKey, Blizz should help you out.
