There are way too many sidequests in this game. What do I have to before I can do the 100 man coliseum fight? Also, why can't I enter the hotsprings yet?

Edit: Where the hell is the giganto monster in Yurzorea?

Is there an easy way to get 100% with repedes mark territory quest? I get to like 80-84% and despite using full blown barriers everywhere I cant seem to get the rest

Yeah, I figured that out when I took advantage of Karol's strengths: being a bitch and running away.

Still it was a brutal fight.  I need a good healer and Karol's nice aid smash ain't helping.

I spend a lot of my time grinding so everyone is always overleveled. I killed the last giganto monster yesterday, he was a total pushover with Rita. Rita = POWAR. Her spells in overdrive generate a full overdrive gauge if used right, so you can just sit there just spamming punishing crippling spells. I use her for every boss fight I can. Fireball spam + advanced arte + burste arte sometimes a mystic arte. If they fire resist I just swap elements and do the same. Fireball is the best spell tho.

There only big boss enemy I couldn't beat on my first go was the giant wolf with wings in the that Forest.  I'm not gonna bother with him until I get a good healer.

Here's a little bit of the guide for you:

Brutal (58) - Just north of Deidon Hold (he'll spawn)
Medusa Butterfly (45) - Sands of Kogorh
Hermit Drill (34) - Weasand of Cados
Brucis (62) - Egothor Forest
Pterobronc (49) - Mt Temza
Fenrir (58) - Erealumen Crystallands
Poseidon (55) - Enduring Shrine of Zaude
Chimera Butterfly (50) - Quoi Woods
Griffen (59) - Northeast Yurzorea (northwest continent on the map, search the field, it spawns a bit north of the hot springs is where I found it)

The one in Quoi woods requires the level 5 sorc ring so you can burn brush to get to it, which you can get by going back to Myorzo and talking to the elder to get the first Fell Arm. Then a little ways into chapter 3, after 4 dungeons (you'll know what I mean when you finish them) go to the stone outcropping on the map southwest of the Nordopolica, the sword will react with it and you go in, the rest takes care of itself.

Level 5 ring lets you go all sorts of places blocked off previously and to get chests blocked off by rocks n brush.

Oh ok. The only reason why I'm doing all this shit is because I'm trying to get 750-800 achievements on my first playthrough. I didn't give a fuck about the sidequests in Symphonia.

Repede has a rival? I haven't used a single tent or anything like that.  What am I really missing out on?
Go to the docks in one of those Capua towns, don't remember which one.

You also learn some stuff about Repede's past and get a new title and attack for him if you sleep at that wandering in a few times. There shit be a little cutscene each time you sleep there.

oh shit, poker, must resist gambling habits
Do not resist! You get an achevement for winning 100,000 in total in poker. Also, you need to win like 600,000 chips if you want all the prizes. When you get the 3 most expensive items, you get a new title and a costume for Judith.

So can I get Monster/Item on first play? I read I can just watch the skits on Namco Island so I wont really cry over those. The only big things to worry about are

* Monsters
* Items (are there any absolute missable items?)
* Sub-Events (that Kouli guide looks good but it doesnt seem complete... is it?)

I didn't expect the game to take the dark turn that it did. I have a feeling it'll lapse back into Japafaggy LOLsville ASAP, but it was nice to see it at least broach themes of moral ambiguity in a semi-coherent way. Barbosa was a breeze, Judy and Yuri juggled the shit out of him. I got like a 42 hit combo. Psyched to see where this goes next

bat boss is easy if you target the leader and fireball him to death. Make sure you re-visit towns often, but a lot of side-quests open up in chapter 3, which is a ways away yet.

Im at 56 hours, might just finish it up, im happy with the achievements I have and im plenty powerful to tackle the last dungeon. I am doing it with the fel weapons tho so ill grind a little in the dungeon o course
