As of right now, I'm projected to be on the west side of it. WEST IS BEST. Supposed to hit near Houma, which is awful for NO, but at least it won't be as bad as last time since evacuations were handled much better/more paranoid this tiime around. If it stays on track (selfish hope), I'll have to stay through the weaker side of a strong CAT-1. Been there a few times. Power will probably be out for a few days, but what can you do?
It kind of sucks in that as I've gotten older, I know people/married into family from Florida to Houston. No matter where it goes it's bad for someone we care about. Hopefully everyone comes out alright.
