FFX had a crappy story, crappy VA, and visuals that, im sorry, do not stack up to LO in this day and age. You can bring up the character designs but Tidus looks like a fucking tard.

If anything FFX had a great combat system for an FF game.

FFX's battle system is still the best in the main series. FFX-2 is a side game. But I agree if we're talking about FF in general.

I always find it weird people bring up FFX's laughing scene when Final Fantasy has always been full of distinguished mentally-challenged wtf scenes. Like GOING TO THE MOON in FFIV, or in FFIX when Zidane goes from the luckiest most positive dude in the world the entire game to the most emo, suicidal Saiyan on Terra and immediately forgets his troubles upon talking to his friends. lmao

Haha. Nawww. FF1-10 are all good games for different reasons. Well, except FFII, but it's still better than FFXII. Blech.

As for IU's reviews, I'm honestly not surprised. All jrpg vets should know by now that the western media doesn't "get" jrpgs and we jrpg fans don't give a shit what they say. Most jrpg fans go by user impressions more than anything else since they typically used to take 6 + months to come out, so we'd know if they were good by then. Now that the games come out the same month, the same day as they do in Japan, things are a little bit trickier, but you just gotta go with your gut I guess.

Still, I don't see any jrpg fan giving a fucking shit what the reviewers have to about our genre. They can suck my cock. So what's the big deal? Remember when they said BD was archaic? lololol.

It's a miracle when a jrpg gets a 9.0 in western media and isn't from Square Enix.

i did really enjoy ffx back when it was released. i doubt i'd feel the same way about it if i were to replay it tho.

the only thing i didn't like about LO was how terribly funny the final cutscenes with gongora were when they were supposed to be all serious and shit.

again, all shit characters. The only thing that game had going for it was the battle system, which doesnt mean squat when EVERYTHING else sucked. If the leveling/customisation/skill systems were decent it would actually be great, but the sphere grid sucks ass. shit story, art, characters, gameplay etc. I could go on forever. I cant hate FFX enough. Even FFXII was a better product

TBH I've never really played one. I guess if you like Tri Ace stuff you'd like this but I'd rather play Lost Odyssey again.
