LOL, guess you guys should have gone with choice 2: Peyton Manning.

Although the fucking Colts lost to the Bears, which is lolworthy.

Brady out for the season with an ACL tear.

This is disastrous news for me in my money league, which is a dynasty fantasy league.  We get to keep up to 10 players from last year's roster, and I had Brady, Moss and Welker.  Well, Moss will still probably be good but Welker will probably suck now.  And since we start 2 QBs, my qb situation is now Old Man Favre, Jay Cutler and Brody Croyle- who also got hurt and sucks anyway.  So twice this year I will have to start Brody Croyle during bye weeks.  If he's even the starter.

I'm in a 10 team league that starts 2 QB's.

Besides Brady I have Matt Schaub and Brodie Croyle.

Pray for me.

FUCKING OUCH.  Did you pick up Matt Cassell?  Do it NOW if not.  Also, Kerry Collins will be starting for a couple of weeks at least in TN.  Croyle is hurt too, so Damon Huard is a good pick up as well.

In our league, I've got Brett BAH GAWD FAV-RUH, Jay Cutler and Croyle.  So I'm not absolutely fucked except on bye weeks when I'll need to start Croyle.  And unfortunately our free agent pick ups are restricted based on how we did the previous week, and since I still might win my game despite only having gotten 3 points out of Brady I'm not gonna get first crack on Cassell.

I feel bad for Brady as a person.

I don't feel bad for the player and the team.

WELL FUCKING FEEL BAD FOR ME, I'M GONNA LOSE OUT ON HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IN PRIZE MONEY IN MY FANTASY LEAGUE!

This. Brady won me $250 last season. I think I have Marc Bulger as a backup. FUCK!!

I know right?  I'm gonna find out first hand next week when I go to the Panthers home opener against the Bears.  I started getting worried about the game once I realized Rex wasn't going to start the season as the starter.  I had no doubt he'd get benched but hoped he could make it to at least Week 2.  Not that Orton is the next Manning, but he won't give us the two freebies that you could count on from Rex.

If Orton can minimize mistakes and  get 100-150 yards a game the Bears will do well. All he has to do is ensure the defense gets proper rest (if yesterday is any indication that'll be easy considering how sharp the run game was) and don't do anything rextarded

One thing the Panthers have going for them is kickoff specialist Rhys Lloyd.  Yesterday he had 3 or 4 touchbacks and one actually went through the uprights.  Devin Hester might be minimalized at least on kickoffs.

Still no Steve Smith next week though  :'(

so yea...this Vince Young story

wtf. I've been defending my man since he got in the league, and while I definitely feel bad for him...you gotta man up son. Seriously. Ohhh Merrel Lynch is making fun of you? Ohhh your fans don't like you anymore? Man up. Work harder. There's no excuse for still being shaky in the passing game. You're supposed to shut up criticism by proving people wrong, not fucking quitting.

What the fuck is wrong with Texas star players.

Before this morning I was thinking maybe this Vince Young thing was overblown, but then when his mom starts calling the media with this "You leave my boy alone, you're hurting his feelings and now he doesn't want to play football." Yikes, that ain't good, no matter how you look at it. I was listening to the Michael Irvin Show this morning and Irvin was saying that his family just needs to back off, go back to Houston, and let Young do his own thing. He gets the crap beat out of him on the football field, then he comes home and can't blow off any steam because his family all there in his face. Then he goes to his friend's house to relax, leaves his cellphone behind so nobody can find him, and his mom calls the cops. No wonder the guy's turning into a head case.

Vince Young and Matt Leinart are no Jay Cutler!  SEC > all.  It's ridiculous to watch Cutler throwing out of the pocket- he's the most accurate QB out of the pocket since he got into the league.  Now that he's got his diabetes under control, he's going to come out and lead my fantasy team to it's much deserved championship.

I dunno, it depends on if you lump "mentality" into the "tools" set.  If so then both guys are seriously deficient.  Leinart is just a pussy and Vince refuses to try and learn how to throw properly- he's like the Andruw Jones of football.  Great natural talent but he's unwilling to change what needs changing to make the next step.

Each football team has at least five Andruw Joneses, and the quarterback lines up behind them.

Hey guys, did you know that the Dallas Cowboys are the greatest team ever? So great that they're the most valuable football team in the universe.

Since they're worth $1.61 billion according to Forbes magazine, why is the city of Arlington giving them hundreds of millions of dollars to help build a new stadium?

Note: this is a rhetorical question.

I'm sure Holmgren is happy that he came back one more year to witness this shit.  Nothing like being at the helm of the ship while it's sinking.  Now even the reserve backup recievers are hurt including the second string QB who was trying to catch passes during warmups yesterday.   I'm thinking about staying home today because I'm almost expecting the Seahawks to call me up and ask if I could come out and be a reciever for them.  Fuck it, why not?

This is a lost season.  Time to play for the draft.

Tony Romo is the second coming of Jake Plummer.  Flashes of brilliance, but inconsistency creates total meltdowns way too often.  The Cowboys will always be a one and done playoff team with him at the helm.  I blame Jessica Simpson.
