Innkeepers is amazing.  You all are crazy.
for real real.  I like it better than House of the Devil even.  It's one of my favorites from the last decade or so for sure.

I watched Livide last night, the girl is tasty, in a plump French manner, and the film felt like a shallow excuse to have lots of cool scenes. There were parts when it was literally like they were acting utterly distinguished mentally-challenged fellow just to move the film forward, like in The Cabin in the woods gas.

5/10. Oh, and the denouement was dumb.

I didn't say I didn't like it, I said it could have used some trimming. I don't have to have quick cuts or shit exploding in my face every ten seconds, but after about the fifth shot of one of them sitting in silence I kinda got the point: You're bored. Awesome. Now I am, too.

My favorite moment was watching Luke swallow his pride.  My favorite horror moments were probably the moments where Claire was alone at the front desk.  It was one of the few horror movies that actually made me feel isolated.  The setting and mood were perfect.  Loved it.  It made everything feel more realistic.

seriously?

It looked alright until they showed the main characters. Isn't that...kind of racist in 2012?

Looper. Really dug it but felt it dragged pretty bad when they hit the farm. Other than that, def' happy with it.

I saw this tonight, and had the same reaction. It's great, but there's a whole little bit there where I wish they'd subtitled it, "YOU CAN GO TO THE JOHN NOW, IT'S SAFE FOR THE NEXT 15 MINUTES." Really fun movie; man, the Kansas of 2044 or whatever is a total shithole.

Really, guys? This is why we get TDKR which is pretty much ALL CLIMAX.

How bizarre is it that a Native American character presented in the 1950's was actually less racist and less ridiculous [and actually played by a Native American Canadian Mohawk First Nations actor] than the same character in a 2013 movie?

- Stupid wacky Johnny Depp in a wacky role.
- The way he's delivering those lines.
- Helena Bonham Carter in yet ANOTHER Johnny Depp flick.
- THE LONE RANGER getting second billing. Why not call it TONTO: CROW WARRIOR then you fucks?
- The presence of actual Native Americans and yet one couldn't be found for the lead role.

Fuck everything about this.

The could have played this as a serious action film or gone with something like The Green Hornet. Instead you have a nice looking film that looks stupidly offensive and a bad attempt at trying to recapture the magic of the PotC series and cash in on Depp as good ol' zany guy. I like Gore Verbinski (wish he directed Bioshock) and I will say that I appreciate that he made them build actual trains (to great expense) for this but when this film bombs, he'll never get another major film ever again.

Why not have Depp play the main, and get a real Indian to play the sidekick - but moderize the role so it's not so ugly

Saw it; it was pretty, but I felt like the "spiritual" bits were a wank-fest. Yeah, I'm probably just not smart enough to get it. I was happy that kind of movie can still be made. But it wasn't a personal favorite, for sure.

Pretty much from the torch mob scene onwards its basically amazing.

Hopefully there's a scene where McClane and his son are knocked through a window and wind up in a board room meeting. There's a hot woman staring at them, and McClane's son asks him "aren't you gonna ask for her number?" McClane looks at her, smirks, and says "I'm too bald for this shit"

Chernobyl Diaries

It's all over the place. There are hints of some cool STALKER (game) influences all throughout and I feel the actual content of the movie wasn't bad. It's the directing and acting that sucked. If the scenes were better framed and shot, you could see how this would be a pretty cool horror movie. However it's shot in a hand-held style and is just not very effective.
