There's only 6 levels to activities now, instead of 10, which is nice

Im pretty sure there were 8 levels for each activity in SR1?

Anyways reserved me one of those fuck off super collectors editions that pilonv1 got. I cant afford it this week though so Im gonna have to wait for a bit before I can play it. If anyone wants to play co-op, hollla! gtag is Sceneman. U peeps had better still be playing this shit next week.

Does it keep a record of what missions and activities youve completed in co-op?

Yeah, I just played for several hours and it fucking ROCKS.  Right from the beginning it shits all over GTA4.  Everything is done so much better, and it plays SO MUCH FUCKING BETTER.  Plus you can even restart failed missions, even from checkpoints you reached, without having to DRIVE BACK TO THE MISSION AREA?!  HOLY SHIT!!!!   :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o  The side missions are actually FUN, too.  I actually want to play them.  Great stuff.

This game makes GTA4 look like an absolute embarrassment.  It's not just far superior controls...the game and mission design is just so much better.

Races are really hard in this. I tried taking a slow car, thinking it would pair them up, but it kept the same fast cars for the AI. I think each race is pre-determined now... no FBI SUV cheating in this one

Also, the arrow directions for the checkpoints are jacked... its like "turn left" but the arrow actually is a little more down the road, and here I'm trying to drive through gates and shit

Insurance Fraud is fixed too, you cant just slam into cars head on. What you have to do now is basically run to an adrenaline spot, but near a highway, so big trucks and shit appear a lot. From here, just jump then crumple into them, chances are you will get smacked into the sky, and you can try to aim yourself into more cars. When you get adrenaline boost you can run infinitely for a period of time, and when time runs out, the adrenaline meter acts as your last few seconds you have. Once I figured this out, everything was cake.

As for races, they are all fixed and varied, the car races you can use any car, but its better to just use whatever they set you up with.

Drug Trafficking is also WAY easier, as the driver can ACTUALLY SHOOT BACK

Yeah, insurance fraud was way easy and totally worth it.  Unlimited running is amazing.

So far the hardest activity is the helicopter one.

For the most part.  You can turn v-sync on and off, too.  Even with v-sync off, the tearing isn't that bad, even when driving fast.  It's not 100% perfect, but it's not really a bitching point.  There is still noticeable fade-in while driving fast, but it hasn't been problematic, either.  No "invisible" trees or anything.

You have to beat the game (epilogue), then you go to the police station and go through the files. You find the file of a certain someone, and you get a phone call about it, and the mission is activated.

Mayhem is also fixed, while the same strategy applies, you can't use a car to run through fences this time. Instead, just blowing up stuff yields quicker and better results. Once you get the RPG in your inventory, just start blasting shit.

I have to say, activities are way easier, and fewer. Both things I can enjoy immensley. Airplanes are ridiculous to control, too. I had a bit of trouble doing the race with one.

You don't need to beat the game to do it.  I did it before the epilogue.

I finished with about 70% or so and it took 21 hours or so.  I'm gonna go do some more activities later on.  I also need to try out co-op.

And where can I get myself an attack chopper?

So is the main story pretty short? Has anyone played online yet?

It is sub 20 hours, which isn't long, but it also means that almost every mission is awesome.

And what about the annihilator rpg? I don't know where to pick that up.

wow, I guess that's how you get the attack helicopter.  I should have waited for the credits to end before asking.
