I'm not terribly interested in this (I might pick it up at $10 if I had a Wii) but I think you're being a bit hypocritical about "non-games" in general. The video "game" industry and fandom has always been as much about the movie and toy/gadget aspects of entertainment software as about game-design, and the most popular of what are now ridiculously being called "hardcore games" have usually been a mix of all three. Fans' other interests support this: a lot of movie/anime geeks, a somewhat smaller contingent who like to play with toys and gadgets (programming languages and libraries, in my case), and a much smaller group with a serious enthusiasm for board and card games etc. If someone were to develop something along the lines of Wii Music, but aimed at a more musically advanced audience, and with a theme I found appealing, I'd definitely consider buying it.
