So the demo rocks?  I'm a bit relieved - I'm so hyped I was a little worried the game might somehow not turn out awesome.

You can force AA with UE3 on the PC.  Not sure about the 360 ports though.  I can't think of 1 UE3 game that I've bought for the 360 instead of the PC.

It's just way too sensitive and there is no slider.  I didn't have the problem in Uncharted, but for this I kept falling off the beam until I switched it off.

I can see this game becoming real crazy once you really get the hang of everything, including combat. I had issues with the double jump or whatever the hell it's called, it required three fast button presses.

One thing I like about the PS3 version is the controls.  I thought they felt really well laid out on the PS3 controller.  Doing all those commands with the bumpers is going to suck on the X360 one.

bumper + triggers. I would imagine going from bumper to trigger quickly to perform some of the more advanced moves would be a little awkward.

I got my time on Edge down to 48.95. I'm sure I can do 47 with some more practice.

uhmmm, the controllers have the exact same layout...

The only thing the DS3 does much better than the 360 is the face buttons. Playing DMC4 on the 360 was a nightmare compared to the PS3.

The shoulder buttons feel like afterthoughts on the 360 pad, too. But then the triggers are a shitload better than the PS3 triggers. Well, for shooters and racing games at least.

The wall jump was a bit annoying until I realized how simple it was.  L1 (hold to go higher/further), R1, L1.  It can get more complex when you want to build up on a corner and go off one wall, then it would be L1, L1, R1, L1.  Sometimes you also need to lift up your legs.  One point in the second time trial area you need to to L1, L1, R1, L1, L2.

And I don't think the game was build for the PS3 controller, but I would hope they include other controller options for the 360 version.  I don't see why it could be Left Trigger = down, Right trigger = up; left bumper = 180, right bumper = combat.

i rolled my eyes as well when i realized i wasted 60 bucks.

DMC4 had a demo for both systems before it released.

BTW if you play the game in 480p/480i it runs at 60fps with nasty tearing

I heard the red stuff is optional (at least in the full game anyway).  So while it might take more time to discover routes, maybe it's not impossible?

Yeah, you can turn it off.  The red highlight is also a bit of a crutch because it only shows you the way they want you to go, not the best/quickest route.

I prefer the PS3 image quality over the 360. I like the 360 pad more though, better thumbsticks and the triggers are superior and the bumpers are great for jumping. Easier to cover both of them (triggers + bumpers) with my index fingers so it's faster too.

Yes, this game really is incredible.  The game truly rewards skill in a way I didn't actually expected.  It's not automated at all (unlike Assassin's Creed or the PoP series).  Brilliant game.

If only the PC version were going to be released this year.  :(  The 360 controller button layout doesn't work for me with this game (due to use of bumpers), but the PS3 version is jaggier.  While I normally use a 360 pad on my PC, I could use a Dual Shock 2 as well for this game plus I'd get 60 fps and flawless image quality (unless AA fails to work properly like a few other UE3 PC titles).
