Time for some straight up REAL TALK up in this bitch.
OoT is a brilliantly designed game. Excellent level design, with awesome pacing, and feels incredibly cohesive.
Majora's Mask has several moments of brilliance. The overworld is smaller but I guess you could say better designed than OoT's, and I do love the whole Mediterranean looking atmosphere. Plus although it's not my cup of tea, the time system was pretty interesting despite being flawed. Unfortunately, the game is plagued by some of the worst bosses and main boss to ever grace any game.
Wind Waker and TP are just embarrassing sloppy designed Zeldas (overall).
I don't see why anyone would gushingly praise LA as the best 2D Zelda unless you were extremely moved by Subspace Emissary's story. Aside from it's "story", nothing else about the game is superior to either LttP or the Oracle games (aside from MAYBE the overworld, if you're into that sort of style). The dungeons and bosses are a fucking joke.
And finally, SMW is indeed better than SMB3.
So in conclusion:
OoT/LttP > Oracles > Majora's Mask >>>>>>>>>>the rest
how anyone can defend OoT in this day and age is beyond me. Most overrated game ever. It wouldnt even be that bad if the was game just mediocre, but its easily the biggest piece of shit released in the 1990's
PS1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>N64
Yeah, shoulda been more like FFVII. :suicide
Zelda 2 is great. I never understood why it got such a bad rep other than the fact that it was different. Phantom Hourglass is the worst Zelda game by-far. I still enjoyed it, but I'm hoping Nintendo lets Capcom make the next DS Zelda. lol at the importers saying it was the best Zelda game
They did get the Capcom dudes to make PH, tho. Aonuma just happens to be poison. :'(
