Joseph Fiennes as Stannis Baratheon and Eva Green as Melisandre would certainly rock. I think Green may still be a pipe dream; she'll probably head back to film. But to be fair, she did sign up to do Camelot on Starz, so if HBO comes calling I'm sure she'd hear them out.

You're right, Strong would be perfect. I was just thinking about Fienness due to the tweet, but hmm...the more I think about it the more I like your idea.

I can't think of many books that ripped my heart out like that entire sequence of events. I remember reading that, then the Arya chapter, and just putting the book down. Went to Buffalo Wild Wings to chill off lol

Yes! That would work but I agreed that he's aged past the point where I think it would work. A bald actor with a similar look would be perfect.

AFFC focuses primarily on the south and east, while ADWD focuses on the north. With that in mind it's not a spoiler to say Stannis is in book 5. The books intersect, with ADWD surpassing it by 400 or so pages.

Gets a lot better; third episode is kinda bad, but after that it starts getting better and better
