I don't think it's anyone we've seen. Seems like someone whose known Law for years. Like the guy who taught him or something. Wonder what power he has to cause Law to fall down in blood though.

I don't remember Don Flamingo having something like that either.

I still think it's a new character. Good that Law is getting some background development though. I like him. I kind of think he's gonna die someday though if Oda gets a little more "anybody can die" friendly in this 2nd half in order to build drama and severity of powers.

Doflamingo's power can manipulate people's bodies. Doflamingo kinda makes sense since Law instantly went to the ground and can't get up as if he's being controlled.

doflamingo's power uses invisible wires like puppet strings or for cutting (see oz junior). there's NOTHING that indicates that this is the case. it's probably a whole new villain.

My favorite comedians in OP are:

Zoro > Brooke > Sanji > Usopp > Chopper > Luffy > Franky > Robin > Nami

Zoro is amazing when playing off other people. Brooke is the best standlone funny man. Sanji is great with Zoro, but less funny when not with Zoro.

Zoro is funny because he's the straight man and he doesn't show the expected emotion most of the time. Like when they're surrounded by slime and he's just sort of "oh well, we're all gonna die" and picking his nose. It's how he plays off interactions with others that makes him so funny. Especially because he's supposed to be the most serious hardcore person in the crew, but most of the time he's lol

Real Talk: Oda isn't giving some of the crew members a whole lot of page time these days. The only thing I remember of Robin since the group met up at the lab was she used some wings to let Luffy land last chapter.

Just the other week she flat out told Franky to NEVER BE CHOPPER AGAIN and how she hates Franky as Chopper and to not talk, ever. Any time something bad happens, Robin will say with a straight face, and sometimes a smile, some morbid, depressing fact that is nothing short of the truth. She does the straight man shtick far better than Zoro. Zoro's best comedy moments come from his complete lack of compass or sense of direction.

I just think you have a selective memory, Bebpo!

Is this how Devil Fruits are made: if the DF user dies nearby is its DF essense transffered to the nearest fruit? It seems to be the case, because to Caesar, Smiley is a weapon, and what's the point of a weapon if it can't be replicated? So this is Caesar's way of controlling Smiley so he use him over and over. Not only that, but for a devil fruit to transfer, it has to be of a specific fruit. Because the DF book has identifiable fruits. Like, the fruit giraffe guy ate was a banana. If he died, the only way for the fruit to respawn nearby is by having a bunch of bananas nearby. This seems to be true because the sled had nothing but apples. This is probably how Blackbeard got Whitebeard's power. He not only knew that DF's respawn into the nearest fruit, but he found out what KIND of fruit was necessary to cause a respawn.

Is that Rob Lucci in that silhouette?

Nice action build up chapter. Smoker alliance is pretty coooooool. Though it's a little iffy that no one noticed the handcuffs weren't seastone until Law told them. Luffy isn't really a sit back and do nothing until told guy

So is the Tashigi getting all turned on and wiggling around scene supposed to be because she is all into Smoker and so having smoke creep up all around her is a turn on or something? That sort of flew over my head.

Next chapter should be kickass.

Um, the tashigi wiggling around scene is Tashigi pleading with Law to not kill the two of them because they can't let Vergo get away. Did you not read the chapter at all? Now I'm not shocked you missed the devil fruit in the previous chapter.

If you're talking about the panel where Smoker is like,"What?" it's just Tashigi pissed at Smoker for having her coat open, exposing her luscious boobs. So now her coat is all closed up real tight and she's got a "wtf dude" face. Smoker does not give a shit.
