Hey, Demi!  Ferricide made an avatar after Nick Frost's character Mike from Spaced http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwJ0wAXjdjU.  All that's missing is the A Team theme song.  Here's his Mike character with my Vulva character.

Home is poo.

Do you guys know that clubs max out at 31 users.  Lame.

Also, they're also charging a monthly fee to maintain the club.  LOLZ

Wait, that fee isn't one time only?

Honestly if I have to pay a fee then clubs should have 100+ members. Then they could make free clubs for like 10 members so it could just be me and my IRL friends.

I went Home with a girlfriend of mine. We just wanted to check out the places together.

They were half raping her. I wish there was a "punch in face"  command in the game.

My PS3 has evolved from booting all the other computers off the network, to booting itself off the network when I try to download Home 1.03. I can send messages and sync trophies just fine but when I try the update it just kills the connection at around 6%.

That's the end of that lol.

Home.

I like that the last line at the end of this says "We really got to pay for this?"

Seems so boring.  I don't think I'm going to bother downloading it, not even for the lulz.

Having neat little arcade machines are the only redeeming feature of HOME, but Namco/Sony had to screw the pooch by having you launch an entirely different application whenever you want to use them.

IMO it's not easy enough, and that's the problem.  A keyboard would solve alot of issues but I'm not about to go out and buy one for fucking Home.

No, a girlfriend.

She bought it for Blu Ray. So I recommended her to install Home for fun.

Well... it was fun, until some guys started to act like distinguished mentally-challenged fellows around her. We went to the bowling area and sat on one of the couches. Suddenly a guy runs towards her and starts dancing.
She could get up but could not get away because the dude blocked her.

What an asshole. I hope Sony kinda fixes this.

So let me get this straight. You bunch of wankers go into Home with the expressed intent of griefing and generally acting like jackasses, and then you actually have the audacity to bitch about the experience? Not only does it seem to have delivered precisely what you were hoping it would, but you're on a fundamental level the "problem." Sounds like a killer app, huh?

What anger, by the way? I'm just saying, judging by intent and impressions, Home seems like one hell of a killer app among xbobs.

Kind of

If we are factoring free -

Second Life is more fun to grief in

Runescape is more fun to grief in

Habbo Hotel is more fun to grief in

But I guess those killer apps do not stack up to the likes of Home

Wow.  Home leaves a great first impression:

- I have a nice view in my home space, a view that is completely meaningless since it's not one open, consistent world.  And where is my giant trophy room that was promised long ago?  This was the only moderately cool feature they've ever shown.
- I have to load up the Central Plaza?!?  WTF?!?  Why isn't this shit automatically streaming during the tutorial?!?

5 minutes later thanks to the shitty PS3 wireless ethernet adaptor...

- Why are all avatars so ugly?  What in the hell is everyone doing?  This hub is useless.
- Let me dance

5 minutes later...

- Okay, that was fun exactly once.  Let me go bowling.  Oh fuck, I have to download the bowling alley.

5 minutes later...

- I can't bowl, shoot pool, or play anything but Echochrome since everything is full.  What a waste of time.  Let me look at the mall, which of course needs to be downloaded.

5 minutes later...

- Wow.  This mall is empty.  Why can't I see the prices until I click on a product and why can't I see the categories?  $5 for a house?  What the fuck?!?  Let me check out the theater

5 minutes later...

- Lame. Let me check out the FC2 and Uncharted game spaces.

10 minutes later...

- Pretty, but lame.  Why the hell am I fucking around with this when I can be playing Motorstorm 2?!?

That was my first hour with Home.  I got about 5 minutes of enjoyment out of dancing inside other people's avatars, but that's it.  What a fucking waste of time and resources that could be better used in a variety of ways:
- Improving the integration of everything into XMB ala NXE
- Getting rid of download installations
- Improving game update installation times
- Improving system update installation times
- Better integrating the store
- Better integrating trophies

They took away voice chat, but they gave us beards.

I just installed the update to see if I could finally make a bearded bearish avatar that somewhat resembles me.  After downloading and installing the update, you have to re download the areas you already downloaded before.  So after a long wait to download the Central Plaza I'm finally in Home again.  I immediately go to the wardrobe to create my new woofy self.  The new beard selection consists of one beard.  And it's a fine beard if you are Santa Clause or a Civil War general, but for anyone else it's totally not appropriate.  There are now two goatees, but both are chin only and cannot be paired with any of the mustaches.  but there are TWO choices for sideburns now, so Fruit Brute should be happy.

But why am I wasting my time with Home anyway?  I'm only 38 hours into Persona 4... long way to go.
