I remember being really hyped about it too. I loved Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (saw it in the theater with my mom lol) as well as similar movies. Hero came off as extremely generic and boring to me. Even the fight scenes seemed to drag on in many areas

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon's story was far more detailed, complex, and interesting than Hero's. It's not even debatable
