This season will jump the shark.
I kind of liked the first episode but when the second ends in the secret lab basement of a church you know things are taking a turn for the hokey.  And this time skipping stuff is going to get annoying if its not corrected soon.

Just watched the pilot again. Damn I forgot how amazing this show is. It just fucking hooks you and never stops

ABC should put the new episode online tomorrow. I'll watch it, just to get a taste. Then I'll continue rewatching the previous seasons to catch up

You don't just 'taste' an episode of LOST. I watched the entire season one dvd in 12 hours even though I was just going to watch one or two.

But it's not being done in the obvious way.  It seems like more of a temporary device that time travel usually is in sci-fi shows.  I kind of doubt that it seriously figures into the rest of the two seasons, or I'll be disappointed.

Probably LIE TO ME or some Fox bullcrap.

I thought it was "eh".  I'll probably tune out for awhile, so I can watch it in blocks and not feel aggrivated that they refuse to explain anything.

Huh?  They explained a ton of shit last season and in the opener, and if what the producers say is true, they're moving more into "explaining" mode than "asking."

Heh, while they might be explaining somethings with the time travel...they aren't laying it out there easily!

So many new angles, even small things such as: Maybe Dr. Candle got stuck going in time at some point, ran into those British solders, and they cut off his hand (just like they were about to do with Juliet).  Then somehow came back, and finished that one video for the Swan (with the fake arm)!!

Might not be the case, but...who the fuck knows!

The season premiere was fucking awesome but the second epsiode was a bit of a letdown given how much craziness was in the previous one.   Suppose that should be expected though.  I was a little put off on Lost's cliffhanger from last season where they "moved" the island but I'm totally down with the time travel angle.  I'm a sucker for that stuff.

Hurley in HD is a little hard on the eyes though.  Way too much ugly.

Yeah it was good. I like how it explained a bit about Richard and Locke's connection. It also showed Faraday and Charlotte's connection. It's interesting that the Hydrogen bomb was buried under the ground too, which is in the vault where Desmond had to push the button every 108 minutes to stop from exploding.

You're doing it wrong if you're only looking for explanations every single episode.  That's not the point.  It's a character show first and foremost.  Everything else is secondary.

By creating a whole bunch of new questions about Widmore.

... It just aggravates the hell out of me.  The apologist argument that it's a character show first and foremost is bollocks.  Yes, that's great - but try some decent storytelling too.

I stopped watching after a few episodes into Season 2.  I picked up towards the tail end in Season 3 when they started to progress the story more, but they seem to be keen on dragging this out forever.

They've been moving at a feverish pitch last season and this compared to seasons 2 and 3.

I agree with matt.  I care way more about the characters than the mythology.  The mythology was always secondary for me.

The young woman who held up Faraday was called "Ellie" by Widmore. The press release for Jughead says that Ms. Hawking's first name is Eloise.
