Well, he's been pretty mum on the actual 'gameplay' of the game. So far, all we've seen is what looks to be a 2D RPG/large-scale fetch quest, without any of the things that make the genre interesting (battling, stat tweaking, etc). It looks like the kind of stuff I used to make in RPG Maker when I was a bit younger, putting all my friends in the game and stuffing it full of inside jokes.

Yeah, this sounds like something Sony would do to advertise one of their own games, but not Nintendo. Does Nintendo even have a history of viral marketing? I don't think its viral marketing, it's just weirdness. Though it would be hilarious if Nintendo actually did publish the game
