third call ever was some 81 year old lady in Las Vegas who claimed you can't get on the internet with a cable and that she's using dial up.
she said she couldnt connect and that the phone line wasnt plugged in because it wouldnt reach.
she put the phone down for a while then hung up.

i've been training for 2 weeks and the first call like this is MINE?!

I remember my first days of tech support over the phone a while back. I got a woman on the line, and it sounded like she had her TV on real loud and someone was constantly changing the channels. I asked her if she could turn the tv down and she started crying because someone else could hear "the mysterious tv channels through her phone line" that people told her was crazy.

It wasn't an older person either.

I also had a call where a woman cried every time you asked her to do something on the computer.

I told her to call the local office and let them know she had tv bleedover on her phoneline but she said the phone company didn't believe her.

Most of the calls will be idiots that don't know that you have to plug things or charge batteries in order for them to work.

I overheard a conversation a week or so ago, and some guy who had worked at Best Buy was saying how he had a customer bring in his laptop and say it wasn't working, OMGFIXITRIGHTFUCKINGNAO, that kind of thing. Best Buy guy plugs it in and it works. Customer is like, "yeah, well you plugged it in! I paid more for everything to be WIRELESS."

I lol'd. Then the people talking looked at me and I'm like, "sorry, that was GOLD though. I love stupid people stories."

she can't get on fucking pogo and i had to explain that we don't have anything to do with that.
then she went on a 5 minute preachathon explaining how many times she had to call us.

i really think she is fake and just a test. there's no way that was real

I had to conference call with a translator.

Was going fairly well until the end. The translator got disconnected and I had to battle with this lady just to get her to open Internet Explorer and go to google.com
