Quote from: Eel O'Brian on February 18, 2009, 08:39:04 AMbuy a pspWhy would he want an expensive dust magnet?
you can play gameboy/color/advance games on the psp, unlike nintendo's dsi system
What's the advantage of this one over the old one?

I'm still using a Phat DS
Can I use a flash cart on this?
Quote from: Costanza on February 18, 2009, 01:26:51 PMCan I use a flash cart on this?Yeah, but I'm pretty sure in most cases you have to buy a new one. Acekard had to make the Acekard 2i.I've been looking to sell my Lite and a few random games I have that I don't play anymore, and I have a Micro, so I think I'm definitely getting this.

My M3 Simply is old as hell and won't even get read by the DS half the time. What's the compatibility like on this Acekard one? Everything works?
Iwata said they're going to keep the Lite going alongside this I think.
They play the same games, it's not a separate pillarDSL is still sold alongside DSi in JapanThey sold GBA alongside DS for like 2-3 years in the West, even released two different hardware revisions
Apparently there are going to be DSi specific games though. I'm pretty sure this is akin to GB->GBC.
I haven't heard anything about DSi retail games. I really doubt NIntendo is going digital distro exclusive with this turd, DS retail space isn't going anywhere. What would a DSi retail game even entail? Maybe I'll miss out on 2 or 3 camera games, but there are no other hardware differences. I doubt a publisher is going to throw away an 80 million strong userbase for an extra 10 pixels of resolution.
Not interestd. Will only buy if the L button on my Lite goes distinguished mentally-challenged again. This is $69 too expensive. I think we're seeing the effects of the yen with this price point.
Thats right! We have the details on the DSi's Australian launch and just like with the DS Lite, we even get it before America. The Nintendo DSi is coming to Australia on April 2nd and we’ll be getting both the Black and White units. Unfortunately the Blue DSi will remain a US exclusive for now. The added features such as the cameras, new larger LCD screens, music player and DSi Ware will come at a cost with the DSi planned to be $299AU and $375NZ- that’s a $100 premium over the DS Lite price. Nintendo’s press release confirms for us that DSi Ware will be available from launch day.
The only thing that could've made me buy this was DSiWare utilizing the upgraded specs and features of the system. But they're still going with extremely small storage space and no running games off the sd card. Jesus, whats the point? To play around with pics and distort songs? Does it even support mp3? Probably not.
I hardly ever play my DS phat, I probably won't be getting the DSi. I should look into getting a PSP, is doing emulation and stuff difficult with it?
