you ever have a whore kick you in the teeth because you didn't pay her?
that's what bourbon, cheap bourbon tends to be.
so most people avoid it, because people don't know how to drink it or what brands to buy. so they stick with safe mixers like generic vodkas, or worse, flavored vodkas looking to get drunk instead of looking for a drink to just enjoy.
in their ignorance they do things...like...add things to it. tonic, twists, sugars, bitters, SOURS or even worse things like other alcohols
no.
do yourself a favor. get yourself a good old record, a smaller bottle of woodford reserve (or if you're an advanced drinker, try the Sweetmash variety) and about two hours. pour a glass, put on the first record close your eyes and drink
you may add two things to good bourbon. a splash of water, or at the very worst, ice.
