See the topic... just saw on facebook that the last girl I dated (some of you may remember her as the Jesus freak who wanted me to convert and join her cult) is in a new relationship. It makes me feel kinda bad since, this year, I have been absolutely bombing with women. i.e. I have yet to get a second date and I have been on dates with 8 women. And the girls whose #'s I got at bars haven't even bothered to call me back

Hopefully her new guy is a Christian, for his own sake/sanity.

Anyone also get bummed by this, that their ex's got a new person when they are still single?

Yeah, I understand completely. 20 dollar nacho chick is batshit insane, but I still care about her a lot. It hurts me to see her talking to new guys, but it's for the best. I try to avoid reading anything about her. I took her and most of her friends off of my facebook so I didn't have to see her posting shit about new guys.

Yeah, I understand as well. That's why I usually never get in touch with ex's, even on facebook and such. I mean I try to be diplomatic in break up, but there is no need to contact the other person, ever.

While it does suck, I find that it helps a little bit when you can tell yourself that although you're not with her any more, at least you don't have to put up with [insert crazy shit here] that you used to when you were with her.

Yeah. Also I find that after I'm dealing with a new girl's crazy shit, my older exes don't seem NEARLY so bad in comparison. I've made peace with a couple of exes now that I never thought I would at the time. Of course, my last gf really WAS just a bundle of TOO MUCH SHIT GOING ON- dealing with finally getting her divorce, health issues and other shit. And it ended pretty badly, so I don't see us being cordial anytime in the future.

I thought it would hurt with my last ex as we are friends, but it ended up being OK. We'd been apart for a year or two and when she started going out with someone it was a deadshit druggie (who she thankfully dumped). So it ended up not hurting.

One my friends got dumped by his ex on Valentine's Day last year. $:-\$ He says he's moved on and has dated a few other girls since then, but he's definitely still bitter about it and seems to bring it up all the time over a year later.

I actually only managed to stay friends with one of my ex's... it helps that that was the one who was a big gamer/geek/RPG fan. Wish she could hook me up but she doesn't know very many attractive girls. Another one of my ex's turned into a lesbian and an RPG fan (who loves Xenosaga and Kingdom Hearts

) years after we broke up but we lost touch.

Congrats on the date, Bloodwake... I am a bit excited since I got an email from a girl on Match who is short, cute, and a doctor.
