The Saboteur started off great but the numerous flaws (probably related to how things turned out with Pandemic) quickly dragged the game down.  It's quite unfortunate because it had an interesting premise.

I enjoyed it entirely by the end, but will admit that it was a little disappointing compared to what I was expecting.

I found that I also had a lot of trouble navigating z-depth in black-and-white areas. That was surprising.

Ok, Beyond the Labyrinth is ridiculously good for what it is.  The downside being that the save points are faaaaaar apart so it's hard to find a good stopping point to put it down.

The battle system is awesoooooooooome, which is kind of expected from Tri-ace.  Game is way better than FFXIII-2.

Wow, Beyond the Labyrinth sounds awesome, hopefully we'll get it over here. :bow tri-Ace :bow2

Though I hate how they always space their save points so far from each other.

Played more FFXIII-2, got to ride that crazy chocobo!

I just got a crappy ending in STAVLKER Shavdov of Cvernobvl.

I guess I was expecting something else, like some eerie desolate experience with apparitions and whatever. Instead there is dudes everywhere. And then you finally get to Pripyat and instead of being treated to a haunted ghost town you get to take part in a military TARGETS ON THE ROOF fps? I don't know, I kept imagining something else. I guess the mythology surrounding this game kinda precedes it. It's a good shooter though, no question about that.

At no point in the game did someone tell me to "get out of here, Stalker," which might be the biggest disappointment of them all.

Though there was a guy who would always greet me with "What are you here?"

Yeah I really dislike the ending to STALKER:SOC and COP which both turn into manshoots.  I like the COP one a bit more because the ending is a lot more fun

theres no 'best' thing to do really. Just keep checking the gun shop and upgrade menu in the phone and keep buying useful looking upgrades. Upgraded pistols with explosive rounds are useful through the whole game, and you'll probably want to invest in damage reducing upgrades and sprint upgrades. Vehicle homies are awesome too, a homie can bring you a tank, v-tol jet or a chopper to help you in sticky situations.

nah you can reload a save and get the other achievement just fine.

ALMOST got 1k in Darksiders. Just got the horse riding around in circles for the 'ride 100 miles cheevo'. Man, another game with a cheev that can't be obtained through normal play and needed to be ground out. Boo.

Being poor is good in the sense that I'm smashing through my achievement backlog. I should have a few more completed games under my belt before Mass Effect lands.

allright, there is another thing i don't get... everytime i buy a shop, place, clear a "gang activity" or clear an activity i gain some control of the city which increase my hour gain....

but at level 26 i can just buy an option that will let me get that to max as if i cleared everything in a single swoop? cause if it works like that,i see no point to bother

thats a one time only use to clear one 'hood' (theres 20 or so in the game iirc). Best to save that one if you are stuck on a tough activity or something.

I just 1k'ed Darksiders. Superb game.

Finally making some progress in DOJBL.

This game has been wearing me down over the last few days, but I can't stop playing until I hit most of my chains in one run. Entering stage 5 with four or five hypers and fully chaining it is the most important bit, since that's worth about 350 million by itself, but I keep fucking it up. :-\

I think I'm gonna start up another game on the side so this game doesn't drive me crazy. Either Crysis or FF13-2, or maybe both.

edit: I also uploaded all of the DOJ concept art from the 360 version, if anyone wants to check those out: http://imgur.com/a/LHsZH#19

Way more convenient than going through each image one by one and waiting for them to load in the game.

As Scenester notes, it only works on a single Hood, it costs money, and getting that investment to pay for itself takes time. Plus, hey, what's wrong with actually playing through the game's side missions?

I think they put that in there for people who got frustrated with some missions before their character becomes invulnerable. Or before they have managed to make their character invulnerable, rather.

There were a couple spots which were hard to find the Activity which would grant ownership as well. I peeked at online guides to locate the icons for those, because I wanted to play everything through.

you know regarding side activities,i find the thing very funny... back when i played GTA3 i didn't really like the game but i always liked stealing a tank and blowing up stuff... fast forward X years later and there is now a game that actualy reward me for doing that, that is not GTA :lol :lol :lol

Yeah, in many ways, Volition has been paying attention while Rockstar has been on top. At least, the GTA team has been on top. The Rockstar San Diego guys knocked one out of the park with RDR for me. It was the best game in the last five years for me, including SR3. It is in my top five of all time, for sure.

The transition to "naked boss" felt off; I think they mentioned in a podcast somewhere that it was not intentionally left that way... maybe it had something to do with the reduced number of cutscenes?

I've discovered that having access to J-3DS games makes the 3DS library a lot better.  Beyond the Labyrinth which I'm playing is rock solid and dabbling with Layton 5 and Gundam The 3D battle, both seem a lot of fun.  Layton 5 in particular has the best 3D (and probably graphics) I've seen on the system.  Really nice image quality with no jaggies in 3D!  Need to finish Layton 4 which I'm currently in the middle of a few hours in so I can move to Layton 5.  Might pick up Rocket Slime 3 and Rhythm Thief down the line (yeah I know RT will get localized but it's animu game so I'd rather play in Japanese).

Right now I'm switching back and forth between Layton 4, BtL, and Gundam G Generation World for my portable gaming.  G Gen is neat, though extremely grindy and the maps take FOREVER because the gameplay is very slow even with all animations off.  But I like it because well...Gundam.

On the big screen, I'm getting deep in RAGE.  Hope to finish it up in the next week or so.  Really love the art direction and the gunplay is very satisfying.  World feels really tiny though since you keep driving 90 seconds from your base city to do a level and come back.  Hoping to get RAGE done so I can move to FFXIII-2 as my main big screen game.  About a dozen hours in after 3 or 4 long sessions (can only really play it on the weekend because sessions are pretty lengthy).  Like it for sure.  Gives me FFX-2 and Chrono Trigger vibes.

Also playing Ghost Trick and Pinball Arcade on the iphone here and there.

Goal is to finish up at least half of these in the next week or two so that I can clear the slate a bit before diving into Twisted Metal + Vita launch titles + RE 3DS.  I like gaming but when I get too spread out it takes me months to finish stuff and I forget what's happened since the last time I played a game.

I was referring specifically to the mission where you meet Zimos. Because you wake up naked.

I must have blinked. No memory of being drugged. Just Zimos saying, "I have a cunning plan" and then cut to me waking up ass naked and stoned. I knew Boss was drugged but there's no scene where he becomes drugged that I recall. No matter. Awesome game is awesome.

mmm... you know i really appreciate the more cartoony style and the weirdo character that pops out,but i can't help but feel that ultimately there isn't a lot of difference between saints row 2 and saints row 3... i mean it's fun and all but are there even new side-activities besides the professor genki arena? beneath the random bout of wackiness (best one was the super hi-tech jet that can hover and shoots laser) it's still the same sandbox game about shooting people in the face

Just like how all rpgs are about slashing monsters in the face. And how puzzle games are all mostly about connecting some type of block. And how music games are all about hitting the right notes at the right time.

well let me be more clear about what i meant,i just did the decker.die mission,it was a lot of fun but to get to it,i had to play 2-3 filler missions which can be mostly summed up to "shoot up gang members in the face"
in these mission there is no challenge in it since all the upgrades i got made me a demi-god nor nothing to see that i didn't already see in saints row 2 or heck... even the latest gta ps2 games

same goes for the side-activities,i've already played all of these in saints row 2

I recommend this game to EVERYONE:

Oh you'll get plenty of that... the intro is very slow though, as typical of tri-Ace...

I haven't played the PSP version but I heard they changed all the voices, the original PS1 voices are so bad they're good. Still an amazing game though, one of my favorites.

Don't know if the iPhone version's gonna play as good though, there's lots of jank chase scenes that'll probably be a little frustrating with virtual controls.

Almost finished my speed run of Tales of Vesperia. Not very fun at all to speed run, its just 12 hours of running through dungeons, dodging monsters and skipping dialogue. Just looking foward to getting to the post game and wrapping up the achievements.

don't even remember poo eating but there's suicides and dead babies in it.

it's kind of a visual novel  in the sense that there's a lot of talking heads and such, but the action is mostly overhead kind of like a 16-bit JRPG.

Spent my gaming time over the weekend playing Soul Calibur V (really beginning to "get" the game and am sticking with Leixia) and finished the campaign in Resident Evil Revelations.  Went back to Raid Mode and found it more fun with level three.  Also played a bit of Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 on Vita.  Joined a lobby and destroyed this Japanese player in two matches, then all of a sudden he changes his team and just beats the shit out of me with Vergil alone (and some Strider assists).  It felt like someone else was playing, lol.

Still playing DOJBL, but I'm playing Death Smiles 2 on the side because I'm tired of grinding DOJ. I'm going to try to learn how to use Casper, but it's hard to even figure out what to do. SIN gets such an insane amount of points out of the game that I'm almost certain that there's some secret technique that I'm not aware of.

I'm also a few hours into FF13-2. I'm hoping it's still in the tutorial phase, because that game is boring as hell so far.

Playing DARK FORCES. Nothing gets me aroused quite like a good 90s FPS.
