Skyrim isn't a bad game though. I enjoyed the first 60 hours or so, so hey. I just think it's grossly overrated. Lowest common denominator and all that, I guess

I'm still enoying it at about 260 hours.  I am the lowest common denominator. :tophat

Tried some 360 MINECRAFT today. My first time in the game.

...I think this is a potentially dangerous game for me.

I do find it kind of amusing that when people start posting beautiful pictures from Skyrim, 9/10 times they look like something from my hometown, which is pretty much a tiny town in the middle of the boreal forests of NW Ontario.  I had no idea I was growing up in such a nice place.  Seemed boring as fuck to me, til I moved to urban sprawl.

You grew up in paradise?

Well there's stuff thats wrong with ANY game- but you dont get to talk about a weird hentai rpg and then start droppin Skyrim/WRPG critique bombs as if anyone here should take it seriously

oh please like people would take me more seriously if my taste were less weeabootastic :smug
besides it's quite simple, look at this screenshot

it's a three tailed fox shooting shits at a giant water monster all in awesome 2D,skyrim gets lame 3D bandits

I still have yet to play Skyrim, I'm a bit burnt out on western RPGs at the moment though, and once I finish Xenoblade it's highly doubtful I want to play through another 100+ hour RPG right away. I do agree with magus (of course) that Skyrim's art is kinda boring...environments look decent but character design is always so bad in those games.

Gave up on Binary Domain. Characters were kinda cool and I was semi interested in the story, but the gunplay was not any fun. The AI was pretty bad and the bosses were shit

Picked up both Outland and From Dust. Going to give them a try

I liked the game- its charming in that way only games published by Sega seem to be, HOWEVER- spider robot boss fight was like being trolled- the Tully's location did make me laugh though- wtf product placement.

reading the thoughts of a jrpg nerd on skyrim is pretty funny. "why are these underground nordic caves so brown and green and stuff??? it's almost as if they are underground and made out of rock and dirt."

I'd have thought you'd be more of a fan of Japanese RPGs considering your penchant for young girls and buttrock/metal music, Fistful...

Can you even play Death Smiles 2? The only version that works on NA consoles is the one on the Games on Demand service, and no version works on EU consoles. Anyway, I would say to go with the first game because it has a MUCH better presentation & it's in English. But I still think DS2 is the better game.

It's awesome.  It's sorta Madworld 2 but it seems like a huge improvement.

i wanted to play something portable so i've been playing some oldass psx titles on my psp, since i never played the 32 bits megaman x games i gave a spin to megaman x4 and after a while i finished it with X

and... on a face value it's still megaman but something feels wrong,i don't know it's kinda hard to put my finger on it but of all the megaman games i played this would be really low on an eventual list

It's a way better game as Zero.  I like playing as X, too, but Zero is who the game was actually tuned for and it shows.

i don't really like playing as zero,it feels like the difficulty got artificialy inflated by the fact that i need to be 2 inch close to bosses if i want to deal any sort of damage, one boss in particular is extremely annoying because he teleports, attack and vanish so i'm forced to either take damage or i have like 2 seconds to deal a pixel worth of damage using my shittiest attack between when he teleports and attack

Started playing Castlevania LoS because I heard I'm going to get spoiled on the plot if I don't play it asap since LoS2 and the 3DS one have huge spoilers or something.

Seems more like an interactive movie than a game so far.  Lots of cutscenes, very linear, very pretty looking.  I like the art a lot.  The character models are good, the 2d art in the journal entries is incredible.  Music is nice though it tries to be too epic.

Gameplay just feels like every B- action game there is these days.  Nothing special, nothing particularly bad.

Feels ok so far.

Or beat the right boss first so that you can just kill that boss with timed one shots.  The only boss I'll brook complaints about difficulty about with Zero is Sigma, and even then, I'm going to laugh at you and call you a pussy.

i did beat every boss before that boss,i just assumed that bosses that were weak to an X weapon that had no zero equivalent (since he gets lot of useless stuff like double jumps and air dash) would have no weakness at all when playing as zero :-[
anyway even playing with zero i know what's wrong with the game... while on a surface level it hits all the spot of a nice megaman game

- the level are short
- they feel all the samey
- the music ain't good
- some of the bosses have huge blind spot which makes them super easy, heck some of the bosses can't even hit you at all as long as you are clinging to a wall (like the manta one)
- the special weapons are all kinda sucky too,a good chunk of them don't differ much from your buster, the one that do differ have super stupid limitation (like the ice one which require you to be zero-close to your target)

sigma with X in X4 is wtf for me

like sigma, the first form is so easy that it's laughable, the second form.... dash left, jump into left wall, wait for the scythe to hit the wall, jump into right wall,i don't think i can name a previous megaman game where i am able to dodge every single attack of the first form of the final boss much less the second one

well anyway might as well try x5 and x6 next,i remember reading one of these feature hostage to rescue which die easily and that pissed off a lot of people?

x5 isn't that hard and has REALLY annoying story bits that pop-up between levels and mid-level wtf.  also all that garbage about building weapons and stopping a falling continent or whatev.  mega man is best when it's all run and shoot, which is why the zero series is fantastic but not the obvious pinnacle of the series that it should have been.
