Picked up Tomb Raider Anniversary after a year break and I loaded up at the end of a huge level and missing two artifacts.  >:(

I was going for the 'find everything' achievement but I played this about a year ago so don't remember it.  Fuck it, I'm moving on.

I know, but I'm a lazy prick and if I don't do things on the first playthrough I usually don't go back.

Is it "so-and-so's Folly" level? I'm finding that level kind of unforgivably long. I don't know if I'll be able to pick the game back up now. :-/

I'm not sure - it's the one in Egypt where you collect four artifacts and shove them in a statue.   I don't feel like going down all the paths again and searching every nook and cranny.  Maybe I'll resort to a walkthrough to find them. :omg

Going through Ys I & II right now, just cause I felt like it. Well, in between some L4D2 and MW2.

pretty much cleared out all the non-fetch quest sidequests in Dragon's Age. Then it's on to the Dwarf town...finished the mage's tower last night and redcliffe a little while ago.

"Finishing up" Brütal Legend - finished it on Bwütäl difficulty, then went back and mopped up all of the collection stuff. After clearing the Legends, Vistas, Buried Metal, Hunting, Racing, etc., I also spent 6 hours confirming ALL of the "bound dragons" had been freed. And then on the Stats screen I still only had 99% completion.  :maf

Concept Art needs to be unlocked, which means playing multiplayer, though I think playing the AI counts. Even so, I am vexed. I thought I was /done/ with that last dragon, but it turns out I've got to play through the RTS stuff extensively to unlock that CA, which will give me 100% in the singleplayer game. At some point. Probably.  :maf

Shadow Hearts: From The New World - up to a small village in the middle of Oceania now. Progressing pretty rapidly, though I took a peek at all the side quests in the game and there looks to be a whole shitload of 'em. Would love to get the game done by the end of next weekend, but I highly doubt that will happen.

Dragon Age (PC) Crack is less addicting.

Mass Effect (360) Finishing it up/getting achievements/getting save game ready for ME2 in January.

1 vs 100 (360) Play the live shows on Tuesday and Friday and have started doing Extended Play to build up my score. Only need a couple more achievements too.

On the stack to play:
Bad Company 360 (got the platinum hits, haven't opened it yet)
Force Unleashed Sith Edition 360
Halo ODST

replaying Mass Effect on PC still.  The side missions really are the absolute worst, but playing it again like this, I'm seeing that if you just play the main storyline then it is pretty solid.  The characters are also really dull, though, I did just come off of Dragon Age.

I did play the two DLC missions for the first time and Bringing down the Sky was alright while Pinnacle Station is garbage.  It's like they wanted to highlight how bad the combat/cover system are in ME to show the improves for ME2.

I like ME more than DA for one reason and that's because the main character isn't a Nintendo-style mute (Link).

But they're two very different games.

Being a mute in DA had the advantage of saying what you wanted to say.  ME gives you a blurb, you click it and Shepard says something completely different.  Doesn't help that the male Shepard voice is pretty bad.

They're not really different past the combat system either.  The progression structure in the story is exactly the same between the games.

You would be better off getting one of the console versions.  The PSP version's gonna get old quick if you're just playing by yourself and not using it to practice up for local/online play.

I was playing the OG King's Bounty but I got burnt out pretty quickly (staying up until 3 AM to play will do that :lol).  Now I'm about to wrap up New Super Mario Bros Wii.  It is an excellent game, but the forced waggle ruins a handful of levels and I'm not a fan of the floaty physics.  It is probably my 4th or 5th favorite 2D Mario sidescroller.

I have Batman AA coming in the mail from Goozex next week.  I can't wait. :hyper

More Tekken sore-loser fun!

First up is this message in German (I think) on PS3.  This guy sent me the message after I beat his ass.

Then there's newbie player HailRemixx.  He's a typical Eddy Gordo button-masher.  I perfected him in the first round and he quit.

I send him a message about his rage quit, and get this in return.

My reply.  It's much like others I've posted, because it usually works in getting people riled up.

Then he sends me a nice, sarcastic voice message: "You know what man, I like you.  I should come to you for all my life advice.  I'm going to listen to everything you said.  You're a good person.  Thank you!"

And he says:

"You know, I like you.  I'll make you a deal.  So you have one to play, and ONE TO FUCK.  I hope you have a good night, SIR."

And to end it, I say:

He signed off after this.

I'm halfway through Gothica in Secret of Evermore. Restarting with the patch was a good idea: stuff is relatively difficult, weapon and alchemy leveling is painless, and the dog is a worthless sack of shit that dies every 2 minutes. I could actually do without the changes to the dog, but it's nice that stuff is still hitting me for ~20% of my HP.

Am I crazy, or is this song very similar to one on the FF Tactics soundtrack?

I tried looking on YouTube, but there's about 50 different fucking songs in that game. Maybe it's not even Tactics, but I swear to God I've heard a similar tune in another game

I finished Samurai Warriors 2.  Got 825/1000 because after playing that dice game or whatever and the survival mode, I realized it was enough because I didn't care for those modes.  I'm not cut out to be an achievement whore.

So I'm playing Warriors Orochi 2 (a 2008 game, I'm slowly catching up!)  I skipped the first one because the 2nd one was about the same price.  I think the game is a little jarring for me.  It's probably the best way to handle 80+ officers in the game.

+ The game is a lot more manic than before.  The other Musou games were more of a slow burn.  This one moves fast.  In about 10 minutes, I can slaughter about 850 human shield enemies.  I think the fastest I've killed that many was Lu Bu in DW4.

+ I like capturing enemy officers and having the ability to use them in your team.  It works a lot better than fighting the same round of officers over and over again like in other Musou games.  I like this evolution.

- I don't like how some of the stages are reused.  I rarely play Musou games back to back but the first level I played was a level that was the exact same as SW2.  This is not really acceptable.  I don't know how the other maps are, as I haven't played DW6 or WO1.

This game is being played until Lost Odyssey, which I should be getting here soon anytime.  Once I beat it, I will return to this.  This is a solid 8/10 game.
