I sent Modern Warfare 2 back to Gamefly.

Overall, I didn't care much for the game.  The game just wasn't my type.  The game has a spastic feel to it that I didn't like at all.  I understand they wanted to recreate an action movie with this game and it did that job well but it wasn't my bag.

Still playing White Knight Chronicles, and still enjoying it. Very much like FFXII-lite.

One of the main bad guys is voiced by the guy who plays Master Shake on Aqua Teen Hunger Force, pretty funny hearing him try to be serious.

I think most of the MW2 players here still hasn't played through the campaign. It's all about multiplayer and Spec Ops. :rock

I rented Army of Bros 2 and had a RL bro to come and play it with me. Finished it co-op in one sitting.

Holy shit what a bizarre game. The bromance is nerfed somewhat, but the whole game just felt fucked. The shooting was passable, and there were some really nice graphics and locations. But everything else was just so lifeless, there was next to no banter between the bros, and NO FUCKING STORY whatsoever. Maybe it was a creative decision? Maybe they didnt want to step on any toes again after the first game? Or maybe EA Montreal is a distinguished mentally-challenged shit studio?

The achievement list is horrible also, I got like 220 for beating the game. So many shit cheevs to grind out

Lego Batman. It's like all the other lego games, it's good enough to keep you playing but sucks just enough to wish you were doing something else. How does Tt do it everytime?

All the Lego games are the sort of games you play with your young nephews or kids. I think they purposefully follow a certain blue-print for them and for what it is, and that specific circumstance I think they are fine. They are games an adult can play with 6 year olds without necessarily wanting to blow your brains out. And there aren't many of those nowadays (Outside of Nintendo made games of course).

Yea, that's why I bought it (for the kids! think of the kids). But it's frustrating to play a game when you know it could be something more and it's not.

I have a soft spot for them for a couple of reasons. I genuinely think they are funny or at least charming for the most part with their storytelling.

And I use to know a guy who had a developmentally challenged kid whom he could play the games with and they both got enjoyment out of them.

I seem to remember most people hating the Indy ones but I liked that one as it moved the action away from the action part of the game which I think is kind of poor to a more puzzle solving focus.

Finished Silent Hill Wii.  Minus the terrible chase sequences, the game is pretty good.  The ending and credits are awesome.

Yeah, I think demi is the only one that actually hates it.  With Origins and Shattered Memories on their belt, Climax UK has a pretty decent start with their take on SH.  I know SM is a total bomba, but it'd be nice if they got to make another one and improve on SM's style.

I haven't played Origins, and I don't know if I'd like for other Silent Hill games to be in this direction.  The game is really different different from other Silent Hill games and they can make another series based on it if they really wanted.  And while I liked the game, I'll admit that a lot of it was just being impressed by the different ideas in it.  I really liked that I almost never needed to interact with an object to read it, and every sign, poster, etc. in the game both perfectly readable in the game world and the game would recognize that you were reading it.  All the puzzles were incredibly simple but had neat solutions, like using your cellphone to request a song and things like that.  The game is fairly inoffensive and easy, I mean, outside the chase sequences.

God you guys are shit

what did you hate about it?

I don't remember if there was a thread about the game

I just booted up Street Fighter III 3rd Strike for the first time in a while on my PS2 and a couple things:

1. Going from SF4 back to 3 is ridiculous, two completely different games
2. I'm SUPER stoked to return to my main, Ibuki, in Super SF4, and I hope nothing changes

At any rate, yeah, just playing Street Fighter and pretty soon I'm gonna start replaying some old Mega Man games to get hype for MM10. I swear to GOD I fucking love Capcom this gen. I love them so much. I just wish they'd accept Platinum back into their hearts, so they have a home.

Going through way too many games atm:

Uncharted 2 - Better than the first, very very fun ride so far. Might be my favorite game that I've played for my new PS3.

MGS4 - I'm a fan of the series, so I've been interested in finally finding out what happens plot-wise in this game, but goddamn the frequency and length of cutscenes is starting to bug me. Two acts down, both of which were enjoyable but could have been much better if the cutscene to gameplay ratio was higher. Good game though, I like it as much as the rest of the series.

Littlebigplanet - After much bugging from PS3 owning friends, I finally picked this up. It's a fun little platformer, and I found quite a few interesting and fun levels that people have created. I enjoy the multiplayer and solid platforming, but I don't have enough patience to create a level like that. Maybe one day.

Bayonetta - Since all my backlogged 360 games got put aside once I got my shiny new system, I never got a chance to play this but I decided to start it up since I missed my 360 controller. Love love love the battle system, truly fantastic stuff.

Infamous - Sucker Punch doesn't let me down. I've been fooling around with side missions and stuff and I'm having a blast.

Was just playing Medieval Madness on Williams Pinball... Started the battle for the kingdom, was TWO hits from finishing with two balls left in my multiball, then one of them gets stuck behind the troll on the right. My other ball goes down one of the side lanes and then I notice that this battle for the kingdom shit is timed, so I'm trying to tilt the table in order to get my ball loose (calling the attendant takes 15 seconds and the clock still ticks) and eventually I get a tilt on the machine and fail. Then I have to start from scratch on my next ball?

Reginleiv is pissing me off.  It's like Earth Defense Force if EDF made you fight the controls non-stop, had no coop, and you were stuck using melee weapons and gimped ranged ones against 5000 feet tall bosses who have a weakpoint on their head.   >:(

I would just play it with the classic controller but mine has been lent out for a while.  Gonna try to get it back and switch to that.

I'm about 7 hours, 25 missions in.  If EDF is a 8-9/10, this is a 5-6/10.  There's no comparison, EDF is just that much better.

If you weren't fighting the controls I think it'd be a fun game.  If it was that + splitscreen coop, I think it'd be a great game.

But yeah, Wii crap bringing down another good franchise.

It does.
I asked on gamefaqs for tips to make the controls better and the first reply I got was "I just played it with the CC and don't have any of those problems"  :lol

They make an entire game around wiimote slashing and it plays better with a normal non-motion controller.  smhh

Lyte, I tried the classic controller in Reginleiv and it's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo broken I don't know how Nintendo allowed them to release the game with the option.

When you move the right analogue, it is the camera AND the slashing pointer.  The game has to randomly decide what you are doing, a slash or a camera adjustment.  It gets it wrong about half the time.  lolol

Way to go Sandbox. Instead of making a fucked up control system, you could've made a kickass EDF game. :maf

Playing Super Metroid again and attempting to up my already GODLY SKILLZ to new heights of godliness in preparation for a semi-srs segmented speed run. My goal is to match the previous record of 36 minutes for a segmented any% run. Not shit compared to that guy's 30 minute single segment run, but I'm not Asian like him so I think such a handicap is reasonable.

When I complete it I'll post the YouTubes as fap material for anyone that appreciates exhibitions of non-scrub vidya gaming

Played a ton of Mass Effect - did a lot of the optional missions, saved Dr. Tsoni, and beat Noveria. I don't even mind the Mako portions of the game (I kinda like the bouncy physics, but hate how long the shield takes to recharge), but the actual combat is still pretty ugh. It seems extremely random, my AI companions constantly get in my way, and there are times when I'm way more successful by just running around and firing blindly than by playing 'tactical'. The cover system never seems to work properly for me, especially after the smooth-flowing Uncharted 2 combat. Some of the early subquests were extremely annoying in this regard, when I was still underpowered.

The dungeons are also pretty lame, apart from Noveria. Most seem to be just straight lines connecting them, and there are only 3 templates that they use for every subquest dungeon in the game. Music is still godly tho!

Think of it as preparation for FF13.

Finally completed the Medieval Madness wizard goals. :D Came back today with a troll bomb for the final battle and BARELY managed to take it down. AGAIN my final ball got stuck behind the troll on the right, but I managed to get it loose by tilting it up and down to knock it into the Merlin's Magic hole. With 4 seconds left on the clock I had to make the final shot with my right flipper - thought I had no chance of making it but I pulled it off. I almost made it to another battle for the kingdom but I fell apart towards the end; wound up with a final score of 408m and in the top 100, so not too bad anyway. Now I guess I'll play all the other inferior tables finally. I'm still missing basic goals on a bunch of them. :lol
