The Wii version is literally a DS port. The game is played via a little window where the DS game is. It's not a fullscreen game.

:lol I'm watching a video of it.  wow, that is a poor effort.  Looks like a ps1 game run through an emulator in window mode while running MS Paint next to it.

Started re-playing the Xbox 360 Conan. Forgot how fun it was to chop off arms.
Yeah, I've got to go back to that and finish it before I forget all the moves. Chopping people up is great fun. The bosses are giant, cinematic affairs which look good but play like utter crap. The one-vs-many stuff works much better.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fate

I'm really liking this game to the point where I'll probably buy the sequel right after I finish this.  I think that's the one that came out on the Wii too, so I might check out that version.

I liked it at the beginning, but once they started throwing in more AI party members into the mix, the game went really downhill - the AI is godawful and it's obvious the DS can't handle all the extra characters on screen... frame rate chugs like a bad N64 game during some of the more intense combat scenes. Was pretty disappointed since I was looking forward to a fun SOM style ARPG.

I'm at the point where the frame rate is dropping now that I have a third character, but the poor AI isn't really a problem.  I just press L and they teleport next to me, then I go off and destroy enemies alone while they occasionally help.  I do wish they would at least auto-heal me when I play as Yuri.

I got sick of the Ghostbusters game.  The stone angel fight was beyond cheap so I just watched the ending on Youtube and deleted it.

I'm playing Crysis on Delta and it is actually pretty good. :o

ok, yeah, you're right about how bad the AI is.  They stand around in environmental hazard waiting to die, and in battles they don't even attack.

still really liking the game, but these are some dumb characters.  Even basic commands would have helped a lot.

also, more and more the isometric camera is clashing with the designs of the levels.  If they make on on the 3DS, I'd like it in full 3D with camera control.

Lost Planet 2 on 360.  The game got patched again yesterday, and among other things, you now can get a lot more credits per level in campaign.  I ended up grinding a bit on 5-3 and unlocked everything from the game's (stupid) slot machine pretty quickly.

I was playing one of the final stage battles in Brutal Legend and I just couldn't beat it so I bumped it down to "groupie" difficulty.  I just finished the game now and yay I got the roadie and groupie achievements (they're probably stacked though).  The funniest thing is that it actually gave me a warning when I lowered the difficulty that it would prevent certain achievements from unlocking.

Finished it.  Longest rpg I've ever played ~120 hours, but one of the few I've actually tried to 100% completely.

Darn good rpg.

Which battle?

I had big trouble with Dry Ice Wet Graves, but after I figured out how to play it as an RTS, it was simpler. Then the last two battles are all overly-scripted, so I had trouble again, until I realized that I could take my time with them in a way that would be suicide in an actual RTS.

Ring of Fates is stupid because its a dungeon crawler/loot game that runs short on both dungeons and loot.

This game is growing on me but it is still too :uguu for my tastes.  It seems to be a traditional JRPG though, which I haven't played in ages.  Simplistic combat but I'm sure the game will continue to build on the combat system.

Remember to change which character you are playing as every so often.  Yuri's combat is pretty shallow even after all systems are opened and you'll get bored if you stick with him.  Spear girl is more interesting to play as.

Wow, Isa+Kachi mode is pretty awesome... 2 whole lifebars  :o Gonna go through the game once more on this mode, since supposedly you get a better ending... and then put the game to rest for a bit.

Finally got the first 120 stars in Galaxy 2, and did a few of the green stars... Not sure if I'm gonna give up once I get to the super hard final galaxy but we'll see.

Finished Alan Wake. It was a pretty fun game, though it could have used more variety and the ending was garbage. Going to play through it again on Nightmare once the DLC comes out I guess.

Deadly Premonition is better

Also playing Sega All Star Racing every once in a while. This game is pretty awesome. My only real complaint is the track variety. Do we really need three house of the dead tracks, three monkey ball tracks, three samba tracks, etc? Would have been nice if they had tracks from other Sega games that aren't really represented, like Phantasy Star (a track going through PSO's Forest would be amazing) and Nights or something. Oh well, I hope Sumo keeps making Sega games because they do great work.

I started a couple RPGs as well -- namely Persona 3 Portable and FF12 International. P3 is still godlike. The P4 combat enhancements are very welcome and the new music is nice too. I'm playing on Maniac mode and it hasn't been too hard so far, but I'm only 10~ hours in. FF12 on the other hand I'm probably going to drop for a while since the gameplay is zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I'm thinking this has to be the most auto-pilot game I've ever played. I would like to finish it some day, but probably not any time soon.

Oh and I've been playing some more SSF4 lately. Watching EVO 2010 all day every day this weekend put me in the mood for more fightan. I'm hoping to burn through the rest of my backlog pretty quickly over the next couple of months so I can mainly focus on [real] arcade games, because I'm quickly losing interest in everything else.

Yeah that one.  I wish they made the stage battles less RTSish in general.

Okami is the best Zelda game. Actually funny and good looking, amazing soundtrack. Nintards OWNED

Im up to case 4 in Ace Attorney Investigations Miles Edgeworth. Game is pretty good, kinda miss the courtroom action though. Its decent but is still outshone by PW1 and PW3. All the Badger theme park stuff was pretty awesome.

Picking away at Puzzle Quest 2, its not as addictive as PQ1 IMO, so I generally have 5 battles or so then get bored, game is fun in short bursts though. My dude is level 20 or so currently.

REALLY pressuring myself to finish Phantasy Star II (3/4ths through), Last Remnant (20 hours in), Persona 3 (60 hours in, up to final dungeon) and Tales of Vesperia (30 hours in). I havent finished a jrpg in a couple of years or so  :'( Dudebro shooters ruined my attention span! Gotta beat all of these games, then get FFXIII and Resonance of Fate

I picked the female since I'd already beaten the male path on the PS2 version.  I tend not to play as female characters if I have the choice, but I made an exception because I wanted to see the story changes. Named her Eiko Endo. :heartbeat

Junpei started hitting on me in the game and it creeped me the fuck out, though.  A lot of the s-links are changed for the female version and the battle music got changed (dunno if it was also changed for the male version...I hope not).

Keeping your squad members loyal in ME2 is kind of annoying.  I just did Jack's loyalty mission and

spoiler (click to show/hide)
the bitch hates me now.  I sided with Miranda in the argument but it seems like there was a paragon or renegade option I could have said that would not have sacrificed the loyalty of either of them (I'm trying to get all of the women "locked in").

I guess I have to load the save before I did that mission and get to it after I've gotten my paragon bar filled up a bit more.  Generally, it seems harder to predict the consequences of your conversations now but I do like the dialogue a lot more than in the last game.  Less black and white how you talk about things.
