Tiesto, what's the best gaming song, if you ever used one, you screwed one of your fat chicks to, got head to, etc.

I don't listen to music (any kind) when I screw, for some reason. If I were to pick a song it'd probably be this (not game music):

If I could choose one song to get head to it would be this (game music)

Super Castlevania did not deserve this song

the escort dungeon wasn't as bad as bebpo said, all i had to do was spamming molotov's and everything went cool, since i can now buy grenade i think i'll start training throw for some of the character... there is something i don't get,how does experience gets calculated? damage done? based on how strong is the monster i'm hurting?

Damage done. So you build up scratch (this gives XP too for machine guns), then shoot a single pistol bullet, and you can get upwards to 60,000 XP

Someone on gaf said the best description of The Last Story is Mass Effect 2 with swords/crossbows and magic instead of guns.

I think I can agree with that.  Just minus the good character dialogue & good graphics.  But otherwise it's a very fast & fun corridor slasher with slight rpg elements.

Sounds fun but Japanese literacy is required, right?  Also, can you switch between characters?

SO4 has decent gameplay, but the story and characters are truly as bad as everyone says. I went into the game expecting a bad story and characters, and I was still blown away by how awful all of it was.

The characters and story are absolutely putrid [although it starts out marginally decent, but goes downhill afterward and keeps going]. The combat and gameplay is pretty fun, which kept me going for about 15-20 hours, but I finally became overwhelmed by the writing and ditched it. Haven't gone back since and won't.

SO4 is so bad.

The exploration sucks
The dungeons suck
The story sucks
The cutscenes suck
The characters suck
The graphics suck

The battle system is...alright.

Thinking about it I actually feel kind of bad for Sakaguchi.  He has good ideas and ambitions for rpgs, but Mistwalker has been plagued with seriously the worst programmers of any jrpg dev because of their choice of outsourcing the tech work to Artoon/Feel Plus.  I mean let's look at their track record:

Blue Dragon - tons of framerate drops in battles and tearing
Lost Odyssey - 20 second load time/fight intros to every battle (luckily I hear these days after GAME INSTALL option appeared, its fixed that a good deal)
ASH - extremely slow movement and bad AI/controls made it slow and cumbersome
Last Story - ghetto graphics, some camera/control problems

I almost feel like Sakaguchi's negativity and talk of retirement stems from just being tired of his good concept rpgs being brought down by crappy programming over and over again.

Yeah, but he has himself to blame there. Like Mizuguchi with 99 Nights, he took the cash and largely outsourced the crap out of those games rather than form a team he trusted and get in the trenches with them. He bought an engine off the shelf rather than develop his own, and paid a huge price when his Japanese staff couldn't deal with it due to the documentation all being in English. By all accounts, he was extremely hands off as well. So if that's his rep, he's earned it IMHO.

I only played Sly 1. Which was the worst game I've ever been "LTTP" to. Absolutely shit. Could change for 2 and 3... but doubt it. inFamous is great first go, and I want to play the sequel immediately.

Enjoying 3D Heroes. Very clunky... but I'm enjoying it for what it is.

i reached chapter 5 boss,i tried killing it the usual manner but he just freezed my whole party and that was it,what a jerk! i think that instead of trying to accumulate scratch damage as i do usualy i should just spam the hell out of molotov's especialy since i triggered the "double fire damage" terminal outside the dungeon

anyway party level is around 33,should make more stuff explode with grenade's!

I'm having so much fun with Bayonetta that I'm actually thinking about doing 1000/1000. Never been patient enough to bother 1000ing anything before. Is there anything I should keep in mind? I want to just do my first play through on normal with no guide and then go for the achievements on the subsequent replays

Play at your own pace, clean up by replaying levels, then it's straight-forward through Hard and upwards.

All you really need is a guide for all the collectibles. Simply beating Hard and Infinite Climax is cake and the rest of the achievements are straight forward. Easy 1000.

Recently, these:

Fallout 3
Now here's a game that really confuses me. Back when I played it at launch I didn't enjoy it very much and since then I've kept trying to go back to see if time/distance/attitude would help this game win me over. Turns out, all I needed was to play it with a 360 controller. The button layout is awesome and the game just feels right with a pad. Between this and my Bulletstorm purchase going to the 360... I think my long-running PC gamer license will soon be under investigation. Oh and btw this game is fucking excellent. I'm gonna wait until I get through everything, but FO3 is probably the best RPG I've ever played.

A Bug's Life
Remembered playing this as a kid way back when on the N64. Decided to try it again and I was surprised to find it's pretty solid. There are a lot of really fun, unique game mechanics that I'm actually excited to see implemented in the rest of the game. I got close to completing this game as a kid but I don't remember anything so it'll be fun going through it again and seeing what clicks.

The Legend of Zelda
Regained interest when I read Himu's posts about playing through it again a while back. I have never actually sat down and tried to beat LoZ and to my surprise it's really, really good. This might be because I've been playing too much Fallout 3, but it feels a lot like an open world RPG-lite. I really like the idea of a non-linear Zelda and wish Nintendo would reintroduce that gameplay mechanic into a newer Zelda game, but since Nintendo is the Pam Anderson of video game companies, I'm not getting my hopes up. Ever.

Takes out movement cards and makes the game a little easier/faster. Play it in order, you'll love MGA1.
