It's not hard, it's just random and takes nothing but luck. I'm pretty sure it was the wizard goal that took me the longest to complete simply because it would never land on the special. It's really annoying.

there is another way to get the special but you have to get the jackpot twice and then the ball has to hit the correct outlane, that sounds even worse than hoping to hit it on joy ride :-\

EDIT: fuck this special shit with taxi,i'm going to play something less frustating than this

i tried this for 5 minutes and well the enemy quickly murderized me but it didn't feel fair since i can't stop and dodge properly,it seems as soon as i start to combo on an enemy the other 2 just gang on me,what am i missing?

for being a xbox title it doesn't really feel much of a downgrade graphicaly though the loading sure does takes forever!

use quick, strong combos, like XXY or XYY at the start. it's been a while since I last played NGB, so I can't help too much, but I've been wanting to do a Ninja Gaiden marathon for a while now (3 NES games + NGB + NG2), so maybe I'll start that up soon.

well i made up to chapter 3,by chapter 2 i started kicking some major ass properly,i almost feel bad for the items i wasted up on chapter 1,so far it looks like an okay game kinda reminds me of onimusha (when i had to put those fang on the statue to get the key i thought "GEE HAVEN'T SEEN THIS STUFF IN A WHILE!") but i wouldn't switch this for the original devil may cry or something like bayonetta, this airship stage with the evil ops looks really cool though

i want to punch the guy that was put in charge of the tutorial in the face
"THIS IS HOW YOU JUMP"
"THIS IS HOW YOU WALK ON WALLS"
"OOPS THERE ARE A BUNCH OF ENEMIES LOOKS LIKE YOU WILL HAVE TO FIGURE THESE FOR YOURSELF"
"OH DID I MENTION YOU CAN DODGE? OH I FORGOT THAT... WELL YOU CAN DODGE,WOULDN'T IT BE NICE IF I TOLD YOU THAT 10 DEAD NINJA'S AGO?"

should i use a guide for collectibles? it really strike me as that kinda game where you regret later on that you missed one health collectible and now a boss is kicking your ass

based on ninja gaiden 2 screenshot i thought the game would be stupidly gorish but it's nice to see i was wrong,i got the bo staff but it seems quite useless when my sword can now insta-kill enemies after the first upgrade

An item collection guide isn't necessary for Normal mode, just get whatever you can.

Playing LA Noire again to see what Stoney is on about. Finished a case, letting the partner drive, then realized I want to see more of the town. Started driving on my own, and am finding controls appropriately sluggish to that era's cars. I'm running into dead ends a lot, that's annoying.

Is there a way to get a path shown on the minimap to the current destination? It's annoying to have to use START >  MAP > ZOOM to a useful distance > mentally plot a path > START... wait 3 or 4 seconds of black screen to return to gameplay...

Then there's the fact that items shown on the menu's map don't show on the HUD's minimap. That's annoying.

The streetcrime side missions are kind of fun, but they remind me of GTA IV. "Drive there and shoot those guys."

Reached my goal of 200+ million the first loop of DOJ Black Label, but I'm very disappointed in this run because I made soooooooo many stupid mistakes that cost me a ton of points (I didn't even beat the final boss!). I think if I can actually execute my current strategies, I'll be able to hit 250-275m for sure. So frustrating. :-\

I did this run with the game on mute as well, because I was listening to my glorious SNSD albums. I think the power of k-pop let me progress further. 8)

Finishing up Level 7 in Mole Mania... this one's a doozy! The game is a lot longer than I was expecting it to be, but it's hella fun. Definitely recommended to those who are into the Lolo series.

Dead Space Extraction (PS3 version)

I tried to play the Wii game before but at the time wasn't ingrained in the dead space lore enough to put up with a lot of watching people talk.  There's still a problem of just watching things happen in between the shooting, but having recently completed Dead Space 2, at least I was into it.  I liked the story and stuff more than Dead Space 2, at least.  DSE is a lot more like Aliens.  The game is fun.  A lightgun/railshooter with Dead Space-isms.

There were some moments playing it that I remembered why waggle is neat in a total theme park way.  Simply moving your hand to press an elevator button is neat.

anyway, the game basically is the Wii version in HD.  There was a moment where I thought I was playing the Wii because I've barely used my Move and it feel similar.  That's fine because I'll also pick up HotD Overkill on the PS3 too.

Driving around to see the town isn't a good idea in that game. It's not that sort of open world game imo. And the side missions outside of tying up some story loose ends are repetitive. The base gun and driving mechanics aren't strong enough to support it. So outside of just trying to level up and get intuition points, they should be avoided imo. That game is a main path game.

I always liked Far Cry 2. It had its annoyances, particularly the guys that kept respawning at outposts, but it was a nice change of pace from all the other FPS's out at the time.

Beat Splatterhouse on 'brutal', now just need to beat survival for my 1000. Game was stupid easy, but nice and short on the 2nd playthrough. Not a terrible game, but going for 1000 has made the game outstay it's welcome.

After this Im onto either Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, or AssCrud Brohood.

I had a dream about FFVIII the other night.  I think you may be right about it being the best FF.  There's so much right about it, from the music, to the world map, to the crazy fmv/gameplay mixes, to the FLYING IN ZERO GRAVITY SPACE listening to faye wong song, to the different worlds/leads, GUNBLADE, etc...

Xenoblade. It's real good. Uh, prob not gonna play much else for a week or so. Apparently this game has core content up to ~100 hrs, first time I'm committed to putting a solid amount of time into a game since FFXII. It's better than any other JRPG released this gen, too bad it looks like it should've been released last gen.

edit: going to get Deus Ex next week. So hype

Haven't finished Tales of Vesperia but I like Xenoblade more already and I can tell I'll actually want to finish it, and it takes a steaming dump on FFXIII that's for sure, and both of those games are better than Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon (ok, maybe Blue Dragon is good, but the characters and setting turned me off within a couple hours) and I tried some of the PSP JRPGs with Ys: Oath in Felghana being the only one I liked and it's not in the same genre. I like Demon's Souls more, and Valkyria Chronicles is pretty good though I haven't finished it yet, SRPGs aren't really my thing but I thought it was particularly good again I don't put them in the same category though, even though they're technically JRPGs. So there  8)

Akai Katana is the most infuriating game I've played since Ninja Gaiden 2. When you're playing for score, there's about 2345290847209 bullets on screen at any time, and you're constantly getting right up in each enemy's face in order to spawn suicide bullets, or you're rubbing your option into a cloud of bullets to increase the size of your energy balls, so death is always like 2 pixels away. I should've beaten this game so long ago, but I always die like 4 times before reaching the final stage because I'm trying to maximize my score. And what sucks, is that I never use my fucking bombs. From this point on, I am freely bombing the stage 4 and 5 bosses every time I face them. Fuck 'em.

If I can just clear the damn game, I should be able to get 600+ million, which would be good enough for maybe #6 on the leaderboard. The three 1+ billion scores on the leaderboards just melt my brain.

Anyone else muck around with E.Y.E.? What a weird ass game. Got hacked by a door I was trying to hack, had to hack myself, and then try and hack the door again. I think my least favorite thing in the 30 minutes I played it is the actual combat- its very twitchy and its hard to avoid getting hit.

I liked Bioshock 1 a lot.  Didn't care for Bioshock 2.  There are some bad leftovers from BS2 in Minerva's Den (the changed little sister stuff) but it's way better than the main campaign.  Minerva's Den is comparable to my favorite parts from the first game, like fort frolic.

chaos rings fucking sucks and feels like an rpg that could have come out at any point in the last 15 years.  boring as hell levels, shit gameplay balance, WTFFFF story.  im sad i wasted an itunes gift card on it.  also you have to play through it 4 times to do everything AND they released a prequel that has you going over the same areas like 3 times AGAIN.

booted up left 4 dead 2 again and was happy to find that they put in almost all the l4d1 campaigns into it and even added the beta version of a new campaign.  new levels are pretty fun!  visually its ass but there's lots of new environmental shit to avoid that hasnt been done in l4d before.  also theres way WAY more zombies.  zombies everywhere all day everyday.  so fun.

fallout new vegas continues to be fun.  initial wow wore off once i realized the faction stuff actually sucked.  most of the game you spend hanging out with ncr deutschbags, with only very few opportunities to to go against them.  gets old because i wanna see something else.  also please give me some more involved quests.  ive played for like 50 hrs, done tons of quests, but most of them only have my running to a couple places and dont have lots of choices like a good, fully developed quest should.  will still keep playing until i can turn all sides against each other.

Im kind of glad the gameloft shine is finally wearing thin with most- a lot of their games are SUPER mediocre. The most fun I have with my iPad are the ones that arent trying to be console games. Let me console game on my consoles!
