Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie, is not only the longest game title out there, but the easiest 1K there is, since it's just game completion. Other games which come close are TMNT, which is boring as hell, but has a NASTY (pronounced "TMN-ASTY!") ramp-up in unused and possibly unannounced gameplay mechanics for the final boss fight.

I've never played that Avatar: The Last Airbender game, but apparently it's an easy-peasy one as well.

lol, you can 1k Avatar in 3 minutes, and that is no hyperbole.

1000/1000 is granted by completing a 50 hit combo, and that can be achieved while fighting the first wave of enemies. I will never have that game on my gamercard

Was this at the dawn of the 360, before Achievements were an established format?

if i had the kind of bucks to buy 2 360 i would probably have bought a ps3 and played some proper weeaboo games instead :fbm

but anyway there is something i always wondered when it come to just cause 2,is there an easy way to climb skycrapers and such? it's really really really annoying hitting the grapple button over and over and over because the guy couldn't be bothered to bring some climbing equipment

At the final boss in Devil Survivor 2.  Probably not a good idea to start on a final boss map in SMT unless I have 3-5 hours free, which I don't right now.  Will give it a shot and hopefully finish it tomorrow.  Some of these maps, man smhhh

don't think that's set in space

not that it's a metric for quality or anything, I just like slow plotting creepy games in space.  I was actually hoping for Demon's Souls 2 to be set in space.

My Devil Survivor 2 review.

In short:
Same exact gameplay, didn't change a thing really
Tougher
Kooky anime story full of death and nothing to do with demons (like Persona games I guess)
No buttrock or piano, music is still solid
Characters suck compared to DS1
Still a good srpg/rpg hybrid and has that Atlus seal of quality.

oh anyway, got 50% in just cause 2,you'd think for all the hard work required the achievement would be more worth than 25 points >:(

Just finished the main story in original Just Cause.

After an entirely lackluster story throughout the game, the final mission's confrontation between Rico and El Presidente has one of the most guffaw-worthy moments I've seen in a game.

The final mission includes boating, air piloting of helicopters and jets (or a LOT of difficult driving if you do it wrong), on-foot firearms, and a good amount of parachute stunting. In short, it does what I hope every game's last mission does, and requires the player to use everything they've learned over the course of the game.

Now I just have to wrap up the MOST WANTED and Racing Achievements, and I can get on to Dark Souls. :drool

JUST CAUSE, finished completely, just 'cos.

Really anticlimatic way to end; I saved the 2 minute and 5 minute At Most Wanted 'cheevs for the end, thinking they'd be exciting. Apparently there is NO SECURITY, POLICE, OR ARMY after you run El Presidente out, so I spent 10 minutes slaughtering civilians to keep my Wanted level high.
:fbm

Beat the Racer career in NFS Hot Pursuit.  Worst ending ever.  Just "CONGRATULATIONS" and then credit roll.  After a 30 hour+ career ending with a 15 min race around the entire island I expected a little more!

Still was an awesomely intense racer.  This gen has been pretty good to us arcade racing fans.  I dunno how they pushed out these visuals on PS3, game looks incredible at times.  Oh wait, I do know...30fps :(  At least I got used to that.

He sounds like a dork now though, they must have changed voice actors for the expansion. :(

Tried a whole bunch of demos:

Sky something something - XBLA racing game with planes.  Was alright, but a little slow.
Mortal Kombat Collection - Pretty nice set of games.  Playing MK1/2/3 again it's crazy how much they changed the series every game.  I think I like MK2 better than the modern MKs.  Will probably pick up this collection someday on PS3 since playing on the X360's d-pad was very very difficult (analog is fine for playing, but hard for fatalities)
Wizorb - Pretty cool breakout x retro rpg.  Again very difficult to play on the X360 controller since it's a d-pad game.  Will pick it up on steam and use a keyboard.
Trouble Witches Neo - I'd avoided this all the time because I figured it'd be another crappy shmup with lolis.  Instead it's a fun shmup with lolis.  Nice speed, enjoyed the gameplay systems.  The dub is hilariously terrible in that Chaos Wars way.  Graphics are a little doujin-ish but otherwise seems fun.
Gatling Gears - Eh, just another top down shooter but with terrible screen tearing and slowdown.  pass
Radiant Silvergun - First time playing this and wtf kind of game starts you trapped in a moving electric field with enemies approaching from all sides.  HARD.  I don't like how you have like 6 different weapons.  Seems overly complicated.
Orcs Must Die - This was fun but then the Orcs kept coming and coming and I remembered it was a Tower Defense games and this is why TD gets so boring.  The repetition kills me.  Otherwise it would be a fun dungeon keeper/deception style game.
Forza 4 demo - This convinced me that I've outgrown racing sims.  Coming from NFS Hot Pursuit this track was incredibly dull even with all assists off and manual clutch shifting.  Track looked like a Ridge Racer track.  Will stick to arcade racers.
Half Minute Hero XBLA - OMFGBBQWTF THIS WAS SO GOOD.  At first I was like "Ewwww" at the THEATRHYTHM style visuals, but the game was so awesome I got used to it.  Is there enough content to actually buy this?  Because for a demo it was darn good.

anyway in just cause 2 i have 89 location where i got 100% and 960 resources so i'm in that lapse where i'm fucking sick of doing stuff for the achievements, yet i'm so close it feels like a waste to not finish it,i don't think i'll go for the 75% rate one

Trouble Witches is pretty solid, and it has a ton of content for being a $10 downloadable game. Plus tt has a terrible-good English dub, kinda like Shikigami 2 but not as bad. It was just on sale for $5 too, you just missed it.

HMH has a nice amount of content as well, but it's kinda heavy on replaying stages and finding equipment and earning secret titles and such. If you just go through the story, it's not very long but it's still fun. I liked it a lot, but it can get pretty repetitive.

Playing some Solatorobo while on a vacation with my dad, game is awesome. The furry is totally tolerable and the production value is amazing. Sure it's piss easy, but that surprisingly doesn't detract from the experienece. At least the mechanics work well enough that you aren't fighting with them.

I'm about 3/4 in and I think the game is incredibly boring and lame. Shitty "combat" and fetch quests... If I weren't OCD on finishing games I would have dropped this immediately.

I got the Humble Indie Bundle for Steam and was playing some games on that. It was mostly for SpaceChem, which I played the demo before and loved... Trauma I don't understand at all, Shadowgrounds was kinda bland (top-down shooter with a really weird camera angle) but seemed OK, but Trine... holy shit why didn't anybody tell me about this before? It's like a cross between Bionic Commando and LBP, with some great graphics.

Also, I beat Catherine finally. If I want to go back and get all the endings, and do Rapunzel, what's the best strategy to use? Is there a way to skip stages on subsequent replays? Do I need to get golds on the stages? (and if so, can I do that in Easy mode?)

Trine is one of my favorites <$20 games.  I was late to the party as well and I was like OMG WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME IT WAS SO GOOD.  The game has incredible art/visuals, the narrator and voice acting is great, and the gameplay controls really well and is fun and a little sandbox-y giving you room to make your own solutions.  It's even got 3 player co-op!  Really good and underrated game.  Will be there day 1 for the sequel.

It's a pack-in on a peripheral just to show the new owners of the peripheral how it works. It's fun. The races get my blood up; I can actually feel kinda sweaty if I play a 1/2 hour or so. But you shouldn't get your hopes up too much for its accuracy or hard-core-ness.
