Lost a marathon game of Civ 4 by not realizing that my seemingly friendly next-door neighbour MAO ZEDONG had spent the better part of human history preparing to wipe me off the map. Steamrolled me in the 18th century with all manner of modern infantry, and I just sat there with my quaint little aspirations of cultural victory and took it like a little Egyptian biiiiiitch.

OG Shinobi (arc).  Fun game, even if it is just a Rolling Thunder clone.  :teehee

So great- rolling with Tachibana, Ryu, Wang Yuanji (replacing with awesome Yue Ying once I unlock her)

Bought the WHEEL and everything- glad it has an easy mode- will graduate to higher difficulties once I have the wireless wheel figured out- takes getting used to and sensitivity appears to different between driving games

After finishing ME3 I played through ME1, now im on ME2- WHYYYYYY

I've seen a few people on my flist playing ME1 lately, not that strange a thing. I barely remember the first two at this point myself.

It was a good first try, though. Riddled with shitty design and bugs, but a good foundation. I just wish ME2 and 3 weren't so shootery. I wanted more of an RPG experience, maybe even with lock-on targeting and extensive stat brooding. Oh well, not that I mind. ME2 was still enjoyable, and ME3 sans ending looks good enough, although I really tire of the whole uncanny valley creepy look thing. That reporter in 3. Scares the shit outta me.

ME2 is my favorite because it was a shooter with a lot of rpg charm, but in retrospect I can appreciate ME1 more seeing how ME3 turned out.  Not that ME3 is bad or anything; it's just less interesting to me because it's a full on shooter now.

ME1's action/shooting, side missions, elevators / technical issues were fowl, though.  The times when it was most enjoyable were just running around on the Citadel or Noveria and doing talky rpg stuff.  And I liked how any environment could be for talking or shooting.  ME2/ME3 have combat and non-combat areas.  The mako and exploring planets wouldn't have been bad if every side mission wasn't the exact same thing repeated over and over (unsurprisingly, this is the same problem with scanning in both sequels).

Nah, the worst was that abortion of an inventory. Who in their right mind designs something like that? It's a crime against humanity, that's what it is. I could deal with everything else, but that part of the game really got on my nerves.

Mako was just "find elevated spot, kill everything in range, repeat". Horribly boring, but at least manageable.

unlocked and finished the secret level of rayman origins,it was amazing,so hard and fun and they used new graphics for everything,i feel vindicated for everytime i played a sucky sidescrollers on the wii like wario land shake it or a boy and his blob

i don't think i'm going for the 100% tough,it sounds like a chore and i want to leave the game on a good note

without going into specific missions, mass effect 2 had multiple hub worlds / non-combat area, and not every mission was a linear shooter level.

eh, i didn't really have a problem with it.  there was still tons of story scenes, both in the levels and in the normandy, and it kept the action flowing better because i wasnt combing over towns over and over again looking for sidequest triggers

just beat me3.  ending was... not as bad as i thought it'd be.  yeah, a little more would be nice, but it's not like there was some nanomachine bullshit that came out of nowhere and fucked everything up.  fuck the haters, this game was excellent.  just as good as 2, prolly better because there were way more levels, bigger setpieces, more enemies, and a more satisfying combat tree.  kind of want to play through the series again now

i will totally buy the shit out of any and all c-grade spinoffs that are released in the future

Ghost Trick is a cool game (on chapter 7) but I'm having the same issue I had with Machinarium.  Executing the solutions to these puzzles takes too long with all the style and character they're trying to get across.  Waiting on that slow walking speed or extra dialog before I can just move on.

I like all the story stuff in Ghost Trick.  The game already breaks up the story and puzzle sections, so I don't need it to interrupt the puzzle sections.

DS version, btw.  Game doesn't need the top screen at all, and touch screen isn't necessary.  Capcom could just put this on steam, xbox live, psn no problem.  It's already on iOS.

Finished Asura's Wrath yesterday. The story and characters are incredibly cliche, but it was entertaining enough to see it through to the end. Game has great animation too, as usual for CC2. Doubt I'll ever play it again though since the gameplay sections were pretty dull.

Got 9 million in the tonfa survival in Ninja Gaiden 2 as well. I almost made it the Master Ninja loop (aka the 4th loop) for the first time, but I choked on Genshin. :( Gotta up my Kusari-Gama and Vigoorian Flails scores next.

ME1 just had too much mako. WAYYY TOO MUCH. Also the AI and party command interface was horrible.
I wouldn't have had much of a problem with the Mako if the map design for the 'random' planets in particular hadn't been so poor. I love exploring, but give me fun maps to explore rather than terrible nigh impossible to traverse maps with a few boring bases scattered.

Yeah, it was definitely the design of the planets more so than the Mako itself being terrible. They were all exactly the same and there was never anything interesting to find, do, or even look at it.

Restarted [PROTOTYPE], and am finding it less enchanting than the first time I tried playing it.

By-and-large, it is a better version of Sega's movie tie-in HULK game, since that team basically aped Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, the game Radical had made immediately prior to PROTOTYPE.

The camera is incapable of keeping up with the building-scaling, particularly when corners are turned, or the player does anything other than run straight up them.

The third or so mission, having to destroy 4 or 5 increasingly large waves of "brute" class characters does not benefit from a reasonable learning curve. It was a pain the first time I played it, two years ago; it was a pain this time, even though I took a lot more time to learn combat and movement before attempting it this time.

Hopefully I stick with it this time, because if I step away from it again, I probably won't come back.

I had a lot of fun with NFS Most Wanted.  You'll really enjoy it I think.

I would be playing Gran Turismo 5 XL but it required a 2 GB install.  Ok, fine.  Then it prompted me to download about 600 MB of updates.  Urggg, fine.  Then I play and it wants me to install 8 GB to the HDD.  I skip this until I started trying to play.  Now I'm installing the 8 GB file, which according to the game will take 50 minutes.  Rage :maf

Past few days I've played through this.

Weird, distressing survival horror with a strong emphasis on survival as keeping yourself fed and rested is as important as not being killed by monsters. Lots of characters and scenes of the Twin Peaks Red Room variety. I got the blue ending, only fed the cat once, never figured out how to cook ham. Pro tip: don't eat the "irratiated orange." Great game.

Eh, the dev is giving away Steam codes for Lucid over at reddit, so I played that for a while. (If you're interested, send a message to this bot)

Game is pretty nice. Reminds me of Bejeweled since the music and jewels and general presentation are kinda-sorta similar. Wouldn't pay for it since I have enough Puzzlers to stay busy until the heat death of the universe claims me, but hey, free game. Why the fuck not.

If you like puzzle games buy Closure (psn). Fucking Awesome. Really loved it. The style, music, controls, everything was spot on. The light and shadow mechanics never got old or boring.

And the ending had a similar vibe to Journey which was super cool.

Game gets fucking hard though. And getting all of the moths required me to use some youtube. I might just suck at puzzle games

To 100% it took me about 4 - 5 hours

Finished Edna & Harvey: The Breakout.

Moral of the story:  If all the reviews say the story is charming but still give it a 5/10, it's not magically going to this really satisfyingly good game with a charming story; it's going to be a 5/10 game that's not worth playing but has some good parts :\

Decided to start playing Telltale's Back to the Future games again.  I'd finished ep1 & 2, but dropped it after that.  If I wait any longer to play the rest I'll have forgotten everything that happened in the earlier episodes like how I played Tales of Monkey Island ep1 and can't remember a thing about it so I'll probably need to skim a let's play before getting back to that in the future.
