AMY is getting a patch that fixes EVERYTHING about the game

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-11425-Amy-Patched-in-Response-to-Player-Feedback-and-Criticisms.html

Now it should be a relatively decent survival horror game (though it's not really a survival horror).

God it was so frustrating playing this.

This game hates me. I got none of the new characters. Only have 4 new characters in total since I started playing it.

only buy specter packs.  the 5000 is worthless and the 20000 is only good if you're just looking to upgrade a weapon or something

also there's a time-consuming money making glitch if you can get a whole team to work with you, though they might have fixed that with the patch today
I bought three spectre packs since the update. No new characters. :(

Game froze on me too. Re-downloading the resurgence pack fixed that for me.

Playing:

Super Robot Wars Z2-2 - Awesome, awesome game/novel, but gonna take me a while because it's looking to be another 120 hour beast and I play like 2 hours a day.

Hot Shots Golf 6 - Good stuff.  Will play until it demolishes my soul.

The Pinball Arcade - Hours sunk already and will continue to be sunk into these tables.  Where is demi.

Back to the Future Ep4 - I guess I'm playing this.  Haven't started it yet, but will be playing it to get my adventure game kick.

And what's wrong with DLC tables?

guys call me contrarian but i'm having fun with star ocean 4,allright sometimes it feels like the game was written by someone who hates japan with a passions so they had to made all the loli-jokes and "japan" joke all easier (for example everytime you deal with welch) but other than that it's nice... it's decently paced (i love how there's a dash button that makes you run faster than flash so you don't have to watch the character sloooooooooooooowly reaching their destination) there's lot of stuff to find in the dungeons, everytime you unlock a new item in item creation you feel all warmer inside (i'm a sucker for item creation systems) i don't even find the character all that horrible besides the super creepy little girl

better than xenoblade and it's huge boring empty plains :smug

Made it to the end bosses of the bonus dungeon of DQ4 DS. Unfortunately, I'm waaaay underleveled and according to this FAQ I have to do some serious grindan. And this game doesn't seem to have an easy way to farm metal babbles as far as I can tell...

Shit, I just started a DOJBL run from the beginning of 2-1 for the hell of it, and I nearly killed Hibachi (the TLB). I could've done it if I didn't forget about the tank delay trick at the beginning of 2-5 too... wasted a hyper and died there, and then I had another stupid death on the final boss.

I think I can 2-ALL this game, but I don't think I'll really go for it any time soon. Maybe some day.

oh god the plot of SO4 suddenly got so stupid

*buuhuu my action have consequences :'(*
decide to do nothing
*buuhuu my inaction have consequences too :'(*

dear japanese developers this trope and this trope do not work especialy when it's caused by the fact that the hero is a fucking grade A moron

it was bad enough in tales of abyss but nope you guys just have to insist,i swear it's like a disease that has to infect anybody that writes a JRPG plot
at least i hope i'm out of the bad section, for a while the game has been cutscenes over cutscenes of character moping around and finding new ways to NOT advance the plot in any way possible but those are over now... right?

i've gotten accustomed to goddamn awfull plot over the course of all the JRPG i played (i think the worst was tales of legendia, tough i remember that game being the worst in anything i can think of) so i don't pay to much attention when it comes to it,but i do enjoy stories and star ocean 3 so far was doing decently because it wasn't about the hero moping and tragedies and people dying and chosen one's and all this shit that usualy infects JRPG

the game turned from an original star trek JRPG ripoff into tales of pickarandomtitlethatsnotvesperia

Started Xenoblade around lunchtime, then I looked at my phone and all of a sudden it was 9:30PM. Can't remember the last time I got so drawn into a game before... battle system seems very simple and FFXII-ish but I just love the world and all the shit you can do.

Skullgirls: Great game- but god damn some of the projectile spam (says the guy who mains peacock lulz)
Tales of Graces f: Started playing this again- still not that far.
Vandal Hearts XBLA: boring game, played enough to get a decent number of achievements- died on a dumb mission that was dumb.

Replaying IGAvanias, not really sure why.

Finished Circle earlier, liked it less than I remember. The areas are too same-y, the castle kinda sucks in general and the double-tap to run thing is irritating.

Started Harmony during Kings-Canucks intermissions, liking it more than I remember.

Too bad about Shaggy Belmont.

Rayman Origins - got 1000/1000 fantastic game, fun fun fun,so close to 20k gamerscore

Super Meat Boy - finished world 6 and got the first ending,it's good fun but i don't feel like i missed to much by not playing it,i think braid was more deserving as the lame indie title everybody drooled all over,i'll try more of the dark world levels, the one in world 1 weren't much harder than the standard world 4-5,but the cotton alley is giving me problem... the negative level are pretty nasty too

Jake Hunter - i recently found a site with several articles about japanese text adventure,so i was pretty surprised when i discovered i missed one on the DS,i mean what kind of weeaboo i am if i miss stuff like this?
http://pixelmenu.22web.net/features/saburo/saburo1.html
but... to be fair,it's not that good, the stories are all pretty straightforward and linear,it's always incredibly obvious who's the culprit, each story is super short (there are 6 in all, apparently the first 4 are remakes of old NES games) and the character are as cliched you can think of... still it's playable
there's also some gag stories where the character are drawed SD and the plot are super silly (think of blazblue "teach me" segments) and in these you are actualy required to do some detective work because if you fuck up,you get a game over, they make for a nice break for when you get tired of the normal game and sometimes are more interessing than the standard stories

man i wish i was playing miles edgeworth investigation 2 instead :'(

Still enjoying [PROTOTYPE], but I feel threatened that, if I put it aside for something else, even for a little bit, I'm going to forget the majority of its overly complex control scheme. Somehow it just does NOT want to stick in my head.

I'm waiting for the XBLA version :hyper

I been sinking a few hours in Radiant Historia. I'm enjoying the time travel stuff and the battle system is fun, but the story hasn't really grabbed me yet. So far it's basically "two countries are at war" and it hasn't gotten too much further than that. I'm only 6 hours in though so still early days. Love the music!

the story never goes beyond "2 countries at war" other than some shenigans at the end but i think it does that really well... this shouldn't really count as a spoiler because it happens early, but i'm putting it in for precautions

you already unlocked the alternative story right? i really like how the game moves the 2 plot forward together without fucking up,you'll be forced to jump between them once in a while because sometimes you need an item from a storyline to progress in the other

Also, got 88m total karma in Ninja Gaiden II's mission mode. I'm on a roll. :D

Thought I would get back to Mass Effect 3 or play some Musou this weekend, but ended up just playing Skullgirls and Street Fighter X Tekken.

I picked up one of the Mad Catz SFxTK fightpads on Thursday but had to return it -it worked perfectly with my PC but there seemed to be an issue with it plugging into my 360- despite one or two negative ratings I saw on Amazon, I really liked the feel.  The pad is a bit smaller than the original model and the d-pad is a big more raised.  Felt more comfortable.  Ordered one for 360 and PS3 from Amazon.  The PS3 pads are finally wired, so more wireless signal-related bullshit.

Yes, I enjoyed seeing all the endings, during a time when there was no YouTube.

There's only 3 stories, with 6 matches each. Everything is tied to online, which means shit if you don't have a pass, not that I care to play Twisted Metal online. The Calypso actor is wack as fuck.

Controls are very confusing, too. Double tap O for reverse, or press down on the stick? I'm constantly having to remind myself what button does what, it's like navigating a maze.

Black was way better.

It's 3 storylines because they didn't think they had the budget to do ANY storylines and it was just going to be a multiplayer game like Warhawk.  Then someone told them they needed to have some single player and they threw a small campaign together on a limited budget or something like that.  The bulk of the game is the multiplayer component.

iirc Jaffe said he wanted to do full SP storylines for each character like Black.  They just didn't have the budget/time.  It was a really small team.  Like XBLA/PSN size team.

One of the maps involves a moving cage, and if you're outside that cage, you take damage.

Of course, I somehow wind up in the underground tunnels and I am forced to navigate my way through this maze while taking damage.

The physics are some off the wall space shit as well, I fly around like a ping pong ball.

Jaffe must have been too busy taking his Zanax to worry about his game. What a loon.

i'm getting the metal gear solid HD collection,it feels stupid to play PS2 games on a shiny new console but i'm out of idea for my rampaging weeabooism and even tough i'm not a metal gear fan and i know most people get the collection just for MGS3,i have fond memories of metal gear solid 2,i remember it like it was a huge deal, there was this big preview on a magazine i used to buy,the thing came with a special DVD with like an hour of interview to the team,i remember kojima making some stupid comparison like snake being king kong while raiden was godzilla

so yeah, achievements + HD + all the substance content i have never seen + not playing the game since 2001 = good reasons to replay it
