I need to play MP3, average 3rd person shooters are my bread and butter

We need to give Fiddeh Sent: Blüd in 'da Sand another go soon. Would love to finish that and send it away.

Just picked up Half Minute Hero XBLA so going to get into some of that this evening.

These Adamantioses can suck it! SO close to killing one legit. Been using FAQs for various killing methods but still need to optimise my build a bit more I believe.

At one point in Max Payne 3 I'm in midair right as a car explodes and the blast makes Max do a barrel roll.  Don't know if that was a glitch or euphoria but it looked rad.

and the game gets less enjoyable when it introduces the armored enemies.

My friend who likes MP3 actually recommend that I play it on easy. With my 2nd play through I am. I mean it's not that bad, it is very cinematic. The game just feels and looks like a million bucks.

But really, I'm just playing Battlefield 3 and Jesus Christ this game.

Yeah, pretty sure I still have a copy of Gimme Back Mah Fuckin' Cristal Skull, Bitch.

Also, let's do Brütal Legend multiplayer if you still have the disc. I need the multiplayer battles (10, 50), and the "Kill 50 enemies with 1 ______" Achievements.

It's rare for me to even like the stories in games I'm playing, let alone play a visual novel, so I don't think anything will help scratch that itch until Zero Escape 3.  Maybe something like Snatcher or Gemini Rue could come close.

nice.  i've got the XIII post-game waiting for me...trying to decide if I want to play XIII-2 first or not.  If I don't like XIII-2 as much (on account of easier combat), then I'll still have XIII missions to look forward to.

The English accents make sense in the magical fantasy land, but definitely not in America. I mean, maybe Oliver's mom is British and moved here, but I doubt it.

Wii games are Buy 1 Get 1 for 50% off at Gamestop right now. Rhythm Heaven was $14.99 and Kirby was $9.99 which became $4.98. Too bad Nintendo is distinguished mentally-challenged and never lowers the prices on most of their games, so Mario Galaxy 2 and Skyward Sword are still like $45.  :yuck

Finished Uncharted GA.

it was a alright game and sadly relegated in the list since Uncharted 2 already came out before it, plus whoever did those fight sequences with just swiping should be fucking fired (especially the sections where a bad swipe will let you lose and you have to do that entire shit all over again :maf :maf :maf.)

Playing Gravity Rush now and its interesting so far.

Done with Mario Tennis Open.

Finished the tournament all characters including all of the unlockable characters except for the QR ones.

+ Pretty nice graphics
+ Nice Mario Tennis gameplay
+ Online lag is minimal/non-existent

- For some reason, the sound seems muffled and quiet, great music otherwise
- Typical Japanese difficulty: won't even give you a bit of challenge and all of a sudden, they become tennis masters.  This does not happen until the last unlockable cup though.  You can win all tournaments for a character in an afternoon.
- A lot of good players online.  That or I just suck.  I got my ass handed to me all the time.

I recommend this game if you like Mario Tennis games.  Next up, Theatrhythm.

Beat Mirror's Edge. Great game with some of the best graphics I've seen. Kinda unsure about the combat. I hated it at first but it's actually done competenly. But it breaks the flow of the game and doesn't fit the general structure, wish they would have done a campaign without enemies or at least without combat skills for the player.

What happend to Mirror's Edge 2 anyway? No chance that that will still happen I guess? Wasn't this originally planned as a trilogy?

DICE and EA mentioned working on a sequel several times between 2009 and 2011, but I'll believe it when I see it with my own eyes.

And I just about everything these days is planned to be a trilogy, so I wouldn't put much stock in that [if it was ever even said to begin with].

been laid up sick for the last three days, so its been non-stop gaming:

finally finished up Ys 1&2 after i went back and put it on normal mode. FUCK those bosses in Ys 1, fuck them straight back to the 80s with their bullshit attack patterns. that said, everything else about the game was top-notch nostalgia. fast, fun gameplay, great graphics and music, awesome 80s animu story; just quality all over. one of those timeless-feeling games that i'll prolly go back to a million times over. made me sad that i hadnt gotten around to playing this game for 25 years; then i went and booted up the turboduo version and said " :-X no, it's a good thing i waited." excited to move on to the rest of the series.

going back through half-life 2. coming off of black mesa it really strikes me how much more i like hl1 than 2. hl2 still is fantastic and is packed with memorable moments, but it kills the pacing over and over again by trying to make it feel like a long-ass journey when really they just pad it out with too many big, empty maps and bad gimmicks. damn near every map in hl1 is memorable and exciting in comparison.

almost done with black ops on veteran. my first and last CoD single-player game. fuck this garbage

hotline miami was just as good as everyone said, though as i expected the whole "we're trying to make you question your actions" narrative they were going for felt cheap and exploitative. also the true ending was ??? why did they even bother putting that in there.

and left 4 dead 2 is still a classic; if anyone wants to play some multi hit me up.

i only played maybe an hour or 2 of DMC2 back when it first came out and i remember literally nothing about it. but jesus it really is as bad as people claim. the combat just feels so poor.

also.... from the setup it seems Ninja Theory totally stole the base premise of DmC from DMC2

Ni No Kuni, just saved outside the port town. It's awesome so far but it seems to be rather grindy - I don't like how when you evolve your familiars, they start back at level 1... and most of the new familiars you capture are at level 1, so it doesn't really encourage you to mix and match them. I've been using Mitey (the first familiar you get) for the most part, and occasionally switch him out for the Lemur guy. Also don't like how it has DQ9 syndrome where if an enemy sees you, you can't outrun them and you are fucked.

Also I played a bit of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, and was actually surprised that it's a good game. 60 FPS and a scoring system :o

I played some Ragnarok Odyssey over the weekend (both solo and online). The combat is fun but I don't like how you rely on luck to get better weapons. I went through all of Chapter 1 a bit of 2 and only got one weapon drop for my class - and it was worse than my starting weapon :'( The online was fun, it makes me excited for Soul Sacrifice later this year

I also started Jet Pack Joyride on my vita. About 75% of my coins came from the slot machine. I think I get the game now - its half endless runner half slot machine simulator. You run to get the tokens and coins and then use the tokens to hopefully win big on the slot machine to buy upgrades to get more tokens and coins, etc... It’s an okay time waster. I'll probably grind with it for a while and see if I can't get a few more trophies

Playing Fire Emblem 3DS, which is awesome, and Final Fantasy Dimensions, which is also awesome.

what FF game would you compare it to?  I haven't read much about this game, but any good square-enix RPG will go on my list...

That sounds good.  I've picked away a few hours on the PSX version of FF5 and it seemed pretty good.  I can see how 4 and 5 are stepping stones to 6, the series gradually went from being bare bones story to the mix of gameplay + story we have today.  Each one put a little more emphasis on characterization.

I put an hour or so into FFIV DS yesterday...those graphics are really taking me back to the PS1 days :lol  but as usual, Square stylistically overcomes the hardware limits.
