Are any of those loli jrpgs actually ok? If you dislike loli stuff, are any of them salvageable? I mean the crap the developers have been saying about the new Atilier game makes me somewhat curious and it at least has a dude as a main character.

All the PS3 Atelier games are great. Atelier Rorona is less polished than the other three.

it's in my to do list too :lol, seriously i have heard so many "omg loli's will ruin us all!" comment that i came to the conclusion the only way to know how bad it actual is, it's to try it myself, that also include record of agarest war

the lag only occurs with certain tvs at high resolutions

probably your tv is too cheap to get the problem, for once you're lucky to be poor

ah i see,good to know

I got Tobal 1 in today and thought I had fabricated some memories of the FFVII demo, when I realized they gave me the demo from Playstation Mag and not the one that came with Tobal.   You get Tifa instead with Neo Bahamut and Barret has like 3 summons, all the dialogue is intact, rather than Aeris with just leviathan.   its kinda neat, the damage output is balanced so you can't just 1 summon kill.

time to dig into Tobal 1 quest mode

It's been years since I played inFAMOUS, and I just started the sequel... what route was more enjoyable in 2, evil/fire or good/ice? I don't feel like experimenting and taking my time.

It's been a while, but I think good and evil are separate from ice and fire.  That said, the best power in the game is the ice launch.

Sweet. I guess I'll continue my evil route (since I used my save from the first) and choose ice. I heard the ice launch makes traversing more fun.

I went with good/ice in my first playthrough and losing the ice launch made my second difficult to stick with.  It really makes the game once you get it.

and yeah, the camera is closer to Cole in Infamous 2 and I didn't like that.  I'd prefer a wider field of vision for Infamous not3.

no,i stopped at assignment 8 and then watched the rest on youtube :lol

but i'm sort of regretting it... i might go back to it after i'm done with ayesha,i'll probably restart the game,i only focused on esty quest and completly ignored the friend request so basicaly i got almost no additional scene,it's just that the game feel like chorish enough by dealing with esty alone, having to ask every character in the game if they want soup everytime i get back to town just make it worse

that said,i saw this scene

The games are more about the journey than the reaching the end, so you should try to complete some of the friend requests. I'm about two thirds through Atelier Ayesha now and even though it's great I think I prefer Totori and Meruru to it.

uh i was worried that i would run out of time in ayesha since i've already eat 1 year and half of game time but apparently i'm almost at the end

spoiler (click to show/hide)
apparently after you finish the game, you can play for the remaining time to do extreme dicking around like fighting optional boss and such, after that when you actualy run out of time you get another ending

i've been playing pinball arcade too, especialy theatre of magic,i was able to score grand finale but i can't seems to get the 100,000 millions jackpot on multiball,if i try to shoot from the right flipper the ball never goes in and doing it from the left flipper seems impossible,of course you barely have the time to try with the second ball so i have no idea what to do

That's probably where I'm at now. I just got to the beginning of year 3. I'm adventure level 46, alchemy level 47. All characters are recruited and I've completed what seems like the main task in the game. There has been hints that there is another goal, but at the moment I'm just trying to raise the last two characters friend levels to 100 and try to complete as many random event scenes as possible. I also downloaded the Cow Heaven DLC this morning and I'll try to check it out tonight.

i've checked a trophy guide and some events are missable, good thing i can still get them

you have to kill the optional boss with keith in your party in that "dungeon up the sky" thingie before finishing the final dungeon otherwise you can't get keith ending
at a certain point juris will tell you that "IT'S TIME TO SLAY THE DRAGON!" if you talk to linca she joins too and if you don't do that you can't get linca ending

I've played all the Atelier games without looking at FAQs. I'm fine with not unlocking all the trophies. Apparently, level 50 is the max in this one and if I want to beat all the optional bosses I'll have to find a way to synthesize some broken gear.

for the same reason i went for 1000/1000 on 360 games,100% completion makes me feel fuzzy
beside ayesha looks super easy to plat

surely back when you had FF7,you fought ultima weapon, found all the shit you could find and took your time,so everytime someone make such a question i'm puzzled by the reason... i think some of the more annoying, dumbest and pointless achievement (GRIND TO LEVEL 99!) twisted the general view on achievements

I've played all the Atelier games without looking at FAQs. I'm fine with not unlocking all the trophies. Apparently, level 50 is the max in this one and if I want to beat all the optional bosses I'll have to find a way to synthesize some broken gear.

being able to put skills you want on equipment is amazing, the first story boss kicked my ass with powerfull fire attack so i synthetized a bunch of fire defense on my weapons and armor and suddenly he did crap damage :lol

my ayesha has like 180 HP because i've synth a bunch of HP+ on all the stuff she's carrying

I buy one pack and decide I'm not in the mood, so I spend the rest on 3 months of Plus which is never, ever beneficial in the three fucking months I am subscribed. final boss defeated in ayesha, what a pushover! i have 1 in-game year to do all the rest and plat the game, shouldn't be too hard

mmm anyway since i don't think i will change my opinion much between this ending and the other endings,it's time for some final impressions... i loved the game but as i kept playing i started liking it less, when you start there is a loooooot of place to see,and they are all in this colorfull cellshaded graphics and you keep encountering new characters and shit to get and they all have amazing details in their animation (wilbell especialy, wilbell level up animation is awesome) but then the game runs out of new stuff to show you and you still have to deal with all the characters you encountered and they never shut up,every character has it's own plot and watching them going is nice but they going on and on and on... there was a moment where i wanted to go into a dungeon to check something and somehow i ended up triggering 3 different cutscene before being able to check it and that also brings up point 2....

Quote
why do those games even have fighting?

make it all alchemy and uguu cutscenes, that's why people buy them shits, right?

.... there is very little fighting to do,there are like 5 monster models in the whole game and they get recycled to hell, there are also only 3 boss in the whole game and they are all in the end, there is one before the final boss, the final boss and an optional one,it's a shame because the alchemy system give you a shitload of option to pimp out your character giving them regen, extra defense,HP absorption, cheaper skills and the same goes for your consumable too,you can make potion that trigger alone and are less powerfull or bombs that poison your enemy in addition to blow them up,you can literaly do anything

the character are fine if a little stereotypical, one of them is a girl doing mainly things, one is a little girl, and another one is the warrior (who's also a girl) who doesn't know shit about anything else other than how to kill stuff, since there is a lot of character interaction (too much might i say) i could see someone liking Persona 3/4 S.Links playing this game... it also makes discussion about feminism in videogame more funny than usual because this game is pretty girly... i don't think a game can get more girly than a bunch of girls going on cutesy adventure's

the story is bland... ayesha sister gets kidnapped by a godlike entity, then after gathering a bunch of unrelated items, she find where the godlike entity resides, kick it's ass and rescue her sister... i guess you can at least appreciate the lack of stupid drama and villains going on rants about humanity and what not

the music is amazing,it has piano, bagpipes and everything cool,i love riesengang music so much!

i really wish the game would make more use of the alchemy system because you never get a chance to make good use of all the shit you find and most item can be crafted with any junk you have lying around but otherwise i had a great time

oh also apparently in japan there is a DLC that let you play as odelia and marion

spoiler (click to show/hide)
nio special finisher is amazing :lol

Anyone on my Steam list knows ive been BINGING on Civ 5, i love it so much. I haven't played one since the first one when i was 8 :heh so this is slaying me. I bought the 30$ expansion 2 days after my buddy gifted it :fbm i know I'm hooked. I will say this though, just based on a few hours of the multiplay... This game has fucked up balance. The bonuses from culture and faith do not make for good vertical city building and it seems easier to just slam the war tech tree, crank out some siege units, and rush towns. Everything takes so damn long to build. I hate that the first 18 turns of the game when i could be building up a town are spent creeping barbarians instead of building a civ. Why does it take so long to make a damn worker? Why is it so expensive? Couple that with the diplomacy being so simple. It's purely machiavellian statesmanship. No matter what the civ, what their strengths and weaknesses, they are seeking to supplant you on some sly shit, never going for cultural or science victories. And they are miserly as fuck in trades. It's annoying.

However the game is stupid addictive and I love the city state aspect of it, although the Gods and Kings expansion seems to fucking spam barbarians at you and allied states like it's going out of style early game. I like the game a lot, it's just so flawed.

Now watch me play it for 150 hours :tocry

Get 4 or 2.

For me its 2 > 4 > 1 > 5

My problem with Tokyo Jungle is how slow shit is. You only get a couple of challenges at a time often having to wait between completing the ones available and new ones opening up, you unlock new animals super slow, etc.

My problem with Tokyo Jungle is how slow shit is. You only get a couple of challenges at a time often having to wait between completing the ones available and new ones opening up, you unlock new animals super slow, etc.

BLAH!

Yeah, this I agree with... I wish you'd be a bit more encouraged to step out of your "comfort zone" a bit more, especially at the beginning of the game. Takes a bit too long to ramp up. Still managed to unlock the :bow BOAR :bow2 and absolutely love the concept.

categorizing pinball arcade tables is pretty simple... there are two kind of tables

1) the tables that aren't monster bash
2) monster bash

sadly category number 1 is much bigger than category number 2 :(

aaaaaaaaaaaaand done, got all the endings and my first platinum, the ending are all super blands and basicaly boils down "and ayesha spent all of his time with character x!" then there are 4 other ones

spoiler (click to show/hide)
one where she becomes a treasure hunter, one where she just become busy with work and another where she becomes a celebrity and one where she has a party with all the girl NPC
[close]

frankly it was more annoying to see the same 30 second cutscene that preceed each different ending... after finishing the game you get tons of bonus material though, there are artworks,a music player with comment from the musician itself (by the way the guy mention an anime about violent school girls the japanese release was on june 28 2012 so any idea about which anime he's talking about?) and a model viewer that let you play around with the 3D models,it's a nice touch and really show the love put in the game

anyway now that ayesha is done i think i'll either

1) play rorona properly
2) play totori
3) get ar tonelico qoga
4) continue playing pinball arcade
