More Shining Force 3, apparently they are hinting at a bad guy named "General Barak"... kinda fits in with the whole theme of you being a Republican in this game :P

Also now I finally know where flipper-boy Synbios gets his user name from.

After this I'm gonna beat Portal 2 and play either Xillia or Graces F. Which one is shorter?

RE4 is the only game I've played where the every time I start a new game on a new system, it feels like I'm playing it for the first time again. Sure, I'm better and more skilled at the game and know what guns to level up and stuff, but the game still remains tense due to a thick, dark, oppressive atmosphere despite the fact you're mowing these fuckers down. It can also be legitimately difficult at times too, even for a vet. The trapped house section always gives me the willies the first time I play it on a new system with underpowered weapons. It's a breeze on new game plus, but on the first run? FFFFuuuuuuuuuuu. Tense as hell.

Best game ever.

If The Evil Within is even near RE4 in terms of quality I'll be happy.

The co-op :whew

Getting twinked and running around with feggits that are 50 levels above you  :snoop :shaq2

I never liked shit like that. Always turns me off in Co-op games.

The Guided Fate Paradox

got up to chapter 7 and it's getting pretty freaking hard, really i don't have anything to say about this game other than the nicest thing ever, the last two time i enjoyed a NIS title so much was with makai kingdom which was on (let me check) fucking 2005 and soul nomad which was on 2007

- every single dungeon in this game has a gimmick, there are some boring one (like the one in the current dungeon i am) but most of them usualy change things so much that you have to learn to deal with them, each boss also has some gimmick too,in fact i don't think i ever fought a single boss that was just a straight one-on-one fight,i always go to the next chapter of the game wondering what the next gimmick will be

- the animation are all badass but pretty quickly, you are usualy happy to find a new weapon just to see how it actualy deals with an enemy

- the mini-scenario are all interessing and incredibly varied, most of all the character feels like they act as you would expect character from a normal story to act and not like the soap opera one that plague jrpg, one scenario involve a mermaid being angry at her lost lover and get this! the lover hasn't died in any tragic accident and the scenario doesn't end with them getting re-united by the power of love

- the overarching story is your typical good vs evil plot but once again it just feel so well done, the evil character aren't goofy caricature and the good one aren't exactly saints as much as bitter and scheming assholes... heck in fact one of the good character is probably more evil than the evil character

- the music is hit & miss but every dungeon has it's own music so you can see their effort, the boss theme has these badass guitar riff and is sooooooooo good

i can tell you that i can only hope the witch and the hundred knight and that princess arcadia game are just a fraction as good as this and if whoever designed this game has left N1 then N1 just got square-enixed and is bound to turn into an empty husk doing stuff like disgaea 6-2... it's just a shame that N1 lost so much time doing all those shit games together with compile heart and idea factory and re-doing boring rendition of disgaea instead of more stuff like this

Playing FF13, Bayonetta and MvC2 on my 360. All are fun games.

Today I ordered RE5 and Lost Planet 2 cause a friend and I are going to play through both. Should be very fun.

Got Final Fantasy anniversary psp edition on my vita yesterday. My first time playing the original. The encounter rate is balls to the wall but I like the improvements like being able to hold the x button down to select attack for everyone.

Almost done with Shining Force 3... there was a time when my guys were steamrolling everything, but these last few missions have really upped the difficulty. I hope to finish it on Sunday since I'm out all day Saturday...

It's up on the European PSN store. You just need to download it. We never got the PS1 versions of FF: Anthology and FF: Chronology so I think they released the PSP versions here instead.

Edit: Maybe it was called Chronicles? I don't remember.

Guided Fate Paradox

i got to the final boss and i can't beat him because it's FUCKING HARD,seriously this is the hardest nis game i played if we don't count the two prinny game, the asshole hits for like 50% of my total health bar and spam a move that you can dodge because you know it's coming but if it hits you, hits for 90% of your health

the plot has kinda take a turn for the predictable, blah blah blah - power of love,etc... this is made worse by the fact that the heroine has turned from likeable support character into full :uguu bait and half of the dialogue of the before last dungeon has been the sort of "i do-do-don't love him :uguu" and more worried variation of "lord!" that you can count on your pair of hands

none the less, the scenario before the actual ending are amazing and the rest of the game is top notch... i guess the ending could have used less japan but whatcha gonna do? :yeshrug

Guided Fate Paradox

finished!

grinded for a while and while grinding i got a nice pair of leg that let you teleport around, that made defeating the final boss much easier as i simply could teleport away from his special attack and teleport right in front of him instead of chasing him everywhere, the extra level i grinded allowed me to take an extra hit and also allowed me to hit so hard,my first and best attack shaved 70% of his health

the ending was meh,the game has a lot of interessing scenario and tons of cool idea but they couldn't have put a more standardy and boring ending if they tried,it's like the cool guy took a day off when it came to finish the game

after finishing you get a special dungeon where all your level, items and diagram thing are gone so you have to do a perfect naked run which is nice... i'm also going to assume that all of the NIS character that perenialy guest star in every NIS game will appear so it looks like there is still quite a lot to do

BTW using divine weapons doesn't work on the skeletons on that boss battle. Already tried it.

edit: nevermind. I'm mistaking magic with divine.

Finished up SRW 2nd OGs after a hundred hours or so.  Next rpg on my "shelved halfway, let's go back and finish them off so I can play their sequels one day" is FFXIII-2.  I dropped it about 13 hours in, and it's been like a year+ now to see if I'll be totally lost and have no idea how to play the game when I boot it back up.  After that is Witcher 1 where I was 25 hours in at the start of Chapter 4 out of 5; but at least that one's pretty straightforward and you have a quest list and just go slash stuff and talk to people.

I just finished Etrian Untold

I rather enjoyed the story mode. It was pretty cut and dry, but the added segments were cool. The new music was awesome as usual.

The ending is abrupt, but whatevs. I got my waifu in the end.

Why so many 0%? They only appear if you run the game once. So did Borys just look at the title screen and move on?

I cant stand juggling games. Sometimes it can't be helped.

Well, you stopped at the best part of Witcher. 4 and 5 aren't nearly the slog that the early chapters of the game are, and they're not terribly long either.

I beat SF3 today... had so much fun with the game, I think the old Shining games are the only things from Camelot I'm really into. And for some reason I like the Shining games more than most other SRPGs.

Achievement history shouldn't be tied to ownership of a game. It's not like the trophies disappear if you sell a disc to GameStop.

You can actually hide games from your trophy lists - but all it does is hide it from your friends/everyone. They are still there on your profile to make you feel bad about.

XBL lets yu delete it period if it is a 0 point game. XBL > PSN

Got 25 billion with C-L in Saidaioujou just now. First time I've beaten the game without a death, but I still made mistakes all over the place. Hoping to get 27 billion once I connect a 'perfect' run.

I also started playing Donte may Cry. There's been too many platforming and story segments so far, and not enough action. But other than that it's alright, I guess.

I tried playing Dragon's Dogma again last since since it's "free" on PS Plus.  I hate that I can't get past the technical problems and enjoy what seems to be a really cool game.  Been a long time since performance actually hurt my enjoyment of a game.  I'll stick with it a while longer and see if it ever stops bothering me, but man, if there's one game that would benefit from a PC port, it's Dragon's Dogma.

I triggered the overflow for the first time in training mode just now. Excite!

spoiler (click to show/hide)
Saidaioujou's 'overflow' is a bug where your GP bonus rolls over into +999999999 after a certain point (through extremely well optimized chaining), which makes your score skyrocket.

things to keep in mind:

-there will always be a lot of reading. that's just how the whole game goes.
-don't "examine" stuff. instead of being ocd and checking everything, remember that the circle button is basically  "SOLVE THIS PUZZLE FOR ME"
-don't bother with the upgrades. the game is already kiddie easy; making Okami more powerful means you won't even have to put forth the slightest bit of effort

it's a great game; just keep your expectations in check

I fully admit half of the reason I was disappointed by okami was bebpo's highly...persuasive review where he said if you dont buy it you're part of the problem. So I assumed it was deep and shit like all other Kamiya games - whose games I am a slut for - and...the game I played...well...thanks Bebpo.
