I thought this dungeon was over!  IT'S NOT ARGHHHHHH.  Been playing the same dungeon all day, lol.  I think I got to this dungeon around 22 hours and I'm now at 31 hours and it's still not done >___<

The dungeons are nasty but pretty cool since we don't get dungeons like this anymore these days.  Enemies are the pussified megaten enemies we've had since DDS1.  I remember back in SMT3 when you still got INSTANT DEATH SPELLd; ah, I miss that a bit.

they still use hama and mudo in DDS and persona, just a lot less frequently...which I think makes it more infuriating.  I was more prepared for it in Nocturne.

Yeah, I mean enemies still use it here and it still takes out your demons (SOMETIMES FRUSTRATINGLY SO AT BOSS FIGHTS) but the chances of my PC being by a hama or mudo spell in any of the megaten games post-SMT3 is like ridiculously small.

Finally starting Brutal Legend. Haven't got to the RTS stuff yet, but I'm afraid.

I recommend plowing through the first two to four story missions in a row, to get a better grasp on the controls. The first stage battle is pretty darned simple, and the 2nd one isn't much harder. I'm no RTS whiz but I'm playing on Brutal difficulty and have not had insurmountable troubles. Actually, the Stage Battles are a little easier than the "use this preset group of troops to do this one thing" because in those if you die or a certain unit dies, it's a do-over. In Stage Battles, you can die repeatedly and you'll only lose Fans. That's not good, but it's still more fun that re-re-re-redoing the mission from not understanding the win condition. The Rock of Ages mission was busted for me; I failed like 6 times and still don't know why I eventually won. "Mercy win"?

Yeah, you can put in a cheat on GUN and replay the final mission a few times in order to get all the difficulty based achievements. Great game too, I recommend it.

It's still a great RPG. I miss the social links adding levels to your demons/personas though. In Nocturne, I find myself sticking with lower level demons with good skillsets for too long, because the higher level demons I could fuse don't get anything useful until I level them for awhile.

I play these games in the exact opposite way.  I keep making new demons as high of level as possible and then just try to jumble together some sort of team with their stock skills.  It's not good strategy-wise as my team always has a lot of holes in it, but I love having really high level demons with good stats.

I decided to start up Enchanted Arms instead of Culdcept, and it's pretty good so far. The battles are a little simplistic and they get repetitive pretty fast, but I'm liking it. Just about to finish the iced Yokohama section so I'm still not that far in. And Atsuma's pronunciation of "Makoto" bugs me.

Took a Bayonetta break yesterday and played Tekken 6, Street Fighter IV, SSFT2 HD Remix, KOF '98 UM, and Uncharted 2 MP.  Alisa's still my main in TK6, but I am leaning towards returning to Asuka or going with Xiaoyu too.  Slowly worked my way up to the same point on both versions in Scenario Campaign. ZZZZZZZzzzzzzz.  There was barely anyone on HD Remix...but I was playing the PS3 version, so maybe that's why.

I just finished the part where that army first appears, so if you're nearer the end you're way ahead of me. I got kacked a couple times during that army's introduction battle; my biggest trouble is forgetting to pump out additional units and instead trying to fight everyone with Eddie and any partner units.

I'm going to try some AI and online battles and see if I can get better at managing the resources and fighting, so the in-game Stage Battles are less of a challenge. I really want to finish on Brutal diff.

@Greenshinobi, dude, take a break after P3 and play something else.  P4 is EXACTLY THE SAME GAME    You will be sooooo burnt out.  P4 is great and has a lot of improvements, but it's the same game in a new skin.  Give a few games/weeks/months between the two.  If you're really aching for an SMT game play Raidou 2.  As an arpg it'll feel fresh.

I loathe RTS games as I suck at them, but I'm still enjoying Brutal Legend. It's not all pseudo-RTS, there's actually more driving and hack and slash than there is pseudo-RTS. Free DLC for PS3 users right now, too.

Remember when I said I missed the days of being mudo'd and hama'd in SMT? 

hahahahaha, ooooh boy.  The last 2 dungeons in Strange Journey are full of mahamudon and mahamadon's spamming normal enemies.  This is super super nasty in SJ since if you want to equip a hama/mudo blocking armor, it's probably half the DEF of your latest armors >___<  By this point I think I've seen more game overs in SJ than P3 & P4 & Raidou2 combined.

Huh. You're right, I haven't lost one so far though some have taken longer than I'd like. Pretty sure the enemy will come assault my Stage eventually, but they are keen on getting all the Fans first. BL seems to encourage a land grab above all else.
