Regardless of who wins our match, we have an advantage right now in that we could possibly advance one place without needing to play a match!  This was all random folks; I wrote down the names and drew them out of a hate!

Oh shit Leguna entered....someone record the matches.. lol..

Triumph posts here????? WORD. old school

I don't know how much longer I'm going to be playing SF4 "hardcore" though.  I've got 200+ hours put into the arcade, 360, and PS3 versions combined, and am feeling like it may be time to move onto Blaz Blue and KOF XII (I hope the latter is good.  PLEASE BE GOOD); TBH I was never all that big into 3rd Strike and while I like SF4 a whole lot more, there are things about it that I also am not big on.  I kind of don't want to stop playing though; feels like I've come a long way and also still have much, much longer way to go before I get anywhere near Haunts' level, for example, if ever!  I guess basically I'm ready for SF4 Champion Edition!   :lol

Dont mean to derail the thread but overall KOFXII is a lot of fun. I guess it plays differently than some other KOFs have in the past but man its a  good time, with the custom combos, deadlock system and everything like that. It has its issues just like any other fighting games but I played it a total of like 12 hours in two days if that says anything.

I play Goro / Kyo / Kim. Goro is such a bad ass with his super armor grabs. He will grip anyone, i am still getting used to him though. Kyo is pretty straight forward character, easy combos and stuff. Kim is a little trickier but a lot of fun to play anyway. I may switch him out down the line but for now Ive been doing well with that team.

No reason to stop playing SFIV though. I have heard of a lot of people quitting but to me it seems silly. Just take a break, if you feel like playing, then play, if not then dont.

if anyone is buying SF4 on PC, there is a benchmark demo for it: http://www.gamershell.com/news_78322.html

it was going at 100+ fps (vsync off) at 1680x1050 with everything maxed  :lol

the ink visual mode looks really cool

There's no way in hell this would run on my vanilla MacBook with old-ass integrated graphics card, would it?  I wanted to try the benchmark demo for shits n giggles but it wouldn't run and said there was a missing file.

Yours is the first really positive review I've read from people I trust.  Others are saying it's just kinda "eh" and that players have already dropped it in favor of KOF 2002 UM instead.  I am still going to be all over this though.  I fucking love KOF and finally, finally, FINALLY it's online (outside Japan sans KDDI fee).  I am gonna be playing it nonstop I think.

Well it's because the game is (was?) beginning to get a bit boring to me.  I've put shitloads of time into it and played it for months now, and so parts of it are beginning to get stale.  I always enjoy doing the online tourneys and playing with friends though.  I took a little break for over a week and that helped; also started messing with other characters and that too re-invigorated things, but I want some more variety, and Blaz Blue and KOF XII are just that!  I've also tried to change up my style and go more on the offensive, making more use of FAs.

BTW did you get the game on PS3 too?  I was wondering why you were finally online on PSN after like five months.   :lol

For me, I'm not a die hard KOF fan so maybe I am a little more open minded. The game is pretty basic over all, but it's still fun to me. The fact CC takes off so much dosent bother me that much since you have 3 fuckin teammates anyway. Seems a lot of ppl think the game is shit becuase of how much damage the CCs do.

My only issue, as I stated, is that it feels unresponsive at times. It usually plays smooth but sometimes I feel I have no control over my character for whatever reason. I think this may be due to the converters (although they dont fuck up on other games) but who knows really. Could be my imagination but the other person I was palying with said the same thing.

...and yeah I got the PS3 version of SFIV about a month ago and finally popped it in the triple the other night to see whats good. Starting from the bottom in Chamionship Mode is hella funny. Playing fools who just got the game. lol.

I do hereby concede to RYTOU EDGOU.

Although I do challenge him to a match after I get done buying fireworks and I get some money to re-up.

Everyone gets two chances in this tourney!  If you lose, you have to the left instead of the right in the brackets.  That's why you're gonna need more than two days in this tourney!

I declare shenanigans: yes, I lost 0-3, BUT after we played one fucking best of 3 match, I explained the rules to him, and he promptly kept on going. I want a rematch, yo. IMO, the next tourney should be EB only, so the rules don't get mixed up, etc.

Explain this more clearly.  What do you mean "he promptly kept on going," and is that "0-3" three matches played (three rounds each) total?  If that's the case, you guys didn't even need to play three matches; you only need two matches won to advance.  Or did something else happen?

The same post with the rules was put up elsewhere so that shouldn't be an issue.
