I'm very tempted, but then I'd need a stick. Anyone play with just a controller?

I use the Mad Catz fight pad.  You *NEED* the six-button layout to play this game right.  You might be able to get by with the PS3 pad, but don't even think about trying this game with a regular 360 controller.

Meanwhile, BACK TO THE TOURNEY-- WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS??

Fuckin' Vegas and shit. More like Gayga. Oh.

I lost. Pillaged in the first round, came back in the second like a boss, lost focus for the final three, was tossed. Bacchus7 will give more in-depth details, I'm sure.

Well, it was like, Vega pulled some cigarillo-hag shit in the first round and was like, "Yo, Ryu, iz you my bitch?" And then Ryu's like "I don't wife 'em up, I dick 'em down" and beat Vega like a claw-handed stepchild in the second round. Only Ryu didn't see the step-dad bear trap that Vega threw behind him in the third round.

Toonami beat me 2 matches to 1.  We both got to the last round of the last match and both were near death, but he beat me.

Haha, me too!  It feels really awkward playing this game after KOF XII (XII plays smoother [offline of course] and the controls are tighter), so much so that I've started playing SF4 again and playing less of XII as to not get too rusty!

Enl and I played. First match he played Chun Li, Vega won 3-1 if I remember right. Second match he switched it up to Bison and crushed me first two rounds. Then I eked out a couple of my own and built the super meter. Fifth round I went balls to the wall and tried a rolling izuna drop off of a back-handspring and landed it, crucial damage and I got the round.

Enl vs Bacchus 0-2

First match: Chun-li (Enl) vs Claw (Bacchus) (1-3)
Second match: Dictator (Enl) vs Claw (Bacchus) (2-3)

And with that I am done with SFIV for the time being. Back to KoF!

Great games Bacchus! I was never good against decent Vegas. That Bison match was pretty close but you read my moves all too well.

Toonami and I just finished playing. He mains some pretty unfortunate characters for vega match-ups. Beat his Gen 3-0 or 3-1, can't remember, then beat his Rose 3-0.

Well, it's at its end now!  Damn that took fucking forever.   :lol

Lyte Edge Vs. Bacchus7
-----------------------
THE SEMI FINAL MATCH
-----------------------

Lyte Edge wins, 2-0!

-----------------------

Match Breakdown:

Match 1:
I was Chun (almost went with Cammy) and Bacchus picked Vega.  I was fearful going in, since Bacchus has been on a roll, schooling everybody with his Claw.  I basically tried to do my best to shut down his air game with lots of air throws and jumping HKs, and then get close and keep the pressure on when on the ground.  Bacchus took the first round, but then I came back after that and won the first match, 3-1.

Match 2: The rematch; again I almost picked Cammy since Bacchus immediately went for Vega and I thought he might have had something up his sleeve.  This match pretty much went the same as the last one, and I kept the pressure on to win the match 3-0.

I think the key to my winning was getting enough ground throws and air throws in on him, baiting his somersault flip kicks, and getting in some overhead flip kick into EX lightning legs off on him.  Bacchus still got plenty off my life bar every round and there were no matches that were won with more than 25-30% life left.

-----------------------

Now it's time for the finals!  Rematch time against RoboJ!

ROBO J HAS WON WITH A CLEAN SWEEP!

:bow :bow :bow ROBO J ROBO J ROBO J :bow2 :bow2 :bow2

THE CHAMP IS HERE!

-----------------------
Lyte Edge Vs. RoboJ
-----------------------
THE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
-----------------------
WINNERS' BRACKET CHAMP VERSUS LOSERS' BRACKET CHAMP
-----------------------

***RoboJ*** wins, 2-0!

-----------------------

Match Breakdown:

Match 1:
I went with trusty ol' Chun, and RoboJ brought out his awesome, crafty, adaptable Dictator (M. Bison)!  This was a rematch from the final in the winners' bracket, where I was sent to the losers' brackets after a beating from Robo.  Pretty much went the same way as our last battle; Robo was very careful about doing a lot of air stuff, and pretty much shut me down.  I tried doing a few things differently, but ultimately went down, 1-3.

Match 2: This is where things got HEATED!  It started out with RoboJ just crushing my Chun (again) for two rounds straight, but I didn't want the final battle to end like that and came back in the third and fourth rounds!  We fought a hard battle in the final round, and it came down to both of us having around 20% life remaining, but in the end, Robo got me (2-3) with some very aggressive, smart tactics and took the crown to become the first-ever BORE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT STREET FIGHTER CHAMPION!

Congrats again on your victory, you earned it with your incredible Dictator game!   :D

--------------------------

I'd like to thank everyone who took part in this tournament!  I had a blast, and I hope you all did too!   :)  It was sad that we had three players drop out, although in Originalz' case, he was leaving to go on a long vacation, and since he notified me in advance, no problems were had.  It sucks that Banuda Ultra and Jehuty had to be DQ'd, however.  I never did get any messages from them afterward, and haven't seen any message board posts from them (on their site) since early July.  If we do another tournament, I hope the next one will be able to be finished much quicker.   :lol

The final break down:

1. RoboJ
2. Lyte Edge
3. Bacchus 7
4. Toonami99

5. Enl
5. Beezy
5. Archie 4208
5. Ch1nchila
6. Leguna
6. Originalz (Dropped Out)
6. Jehuty (Disqualified)
6. Banuda Ultra (Disqualified)
7. Tiesto
7. Rman
7. PointZero8
7. T234

Good games, everyone!
