Alice in Wonderland is trippy enough as itself. Adding a little dark/goth/whateverthefucktheycallit/etc makes sense sure. But this is beyond over board. This is like visionary...water board

He took pictures of a 7 year old girl, naked, without her parents in the room (as was the norm back then). There is no CSI DNA evidence left in her rectum but it's pretty obvious what was going on.

Things like the mercury poisoning and the historical references are way too much for a kid to think about. Obviously, these shots are not the same style you'd see in a Nickolodean show so maybe it's not even aimed at kids?

Actually, from all accounts, including that girl - Carroll died celibate. He was definitely an eccentric guy, but nude pictures of a girl in Victorian era England isn't the big deal it is nowadays. He was an eccentric child author and loved kids. None of the girls that he kept in contact with spoke an ill word about him.

I look forward to this. I didn't think the Tim Burton Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was bad at all; really good in fact, just not as good as Willy Wonka 70's version. Then again, I'm a fan of the book.

Consensus amongst those who have actually studied him is pretty straightforward - that he was not sexually attracted to young girls, but that he was socially awkward and had trouble forming adult relationships. I've only seen two Burton/Depp films and I enjoyed both - Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow. I think the secret is to just see one film every decade or so.
