this game appears to be unavailable

can't invite friends, private match i had joined froze up the game

clusterfuck 1943

i'm not buying the PS3 version now, and i will never ever ever buy another EA online-only game

if the PC version doesn't have support for private servers it can fuck right off, too

I really haven't had too many issues since they added more servers - you sure that the current batch of problems aren't on your side?  Is your NAT open?

i ended up falling asleep last night so i never went back on, sorry

nah, my nat is open, i was able to connect fine for a while, but then i ran into a period of about 1/2 an hour where i couldn't connect to a game to save my ass

that'll probably be corrected shortly with the servers they allegedly keep adding, but the crappy interface will never be fixed

requiring 16 players before you can even start a private match is just utter bullshit

they really, really should have included a peer-to-peer option for private matches

They fucked up some things with this game.  It's still fun when it works, but I even get in-game visual and audio glitches from time to time.  I would have returned BF1943 already had it been a retail release; it's unacceptable.

haha, i need to learn when to mute my mic

i got my tank stuck on a dragon's tooth near a base, and since i was surrounded by enemies i had no choice but to stay inside the tank to duke it out

i'm not very good at this game, but i do know what i'm doing, and that was something i couldn't avoid

of course we got murdered, then i heard this jackass say "the guy driving the tank is an idiot, you gotta keep moving"

so i yelled "GO FUCK YOURSELF" as loud as i could - he's one of those dudes who never stop talking for one second and he was getting on my nerves anyway

i've decided i'm not talking anymore, and i'm just gonna mute everyone in games from now on, so if you're one of those people who hate that then you probably just shouldn't play with me

i miss the days of text-only chat :(

Agreed.

Squads make this game.  I load up my jeep with my friends and explosives, and constantly honk the horn.  I run through an enemy base and their guys are like, "Wtf is this?" and then - boom! - we blow up the jeep and cap their flag.  Everytime. :lol

so, i thought i'd give the demo a try on PS3 so i could compare the two on the borecast recording this week

after 15 minutes of "failed to create account, could not connect to EA online" i deleted the demo along with any chance i might ever even think about purchasing it on PS3 for any amount of money (even gamesharing with two of my friends)

what a complete and utter clusterfuck this game has been from the very start

Nope. It's obvious that EA was using the console versions as a testbed for the PC version, which is why it was always going to be released way after the console versions.

No they weren't.

Doesn't change the fact that ther PC version will be PERFECTLY FINE.

I think I'd wait for the PC release before saying that.  Guess you're bored without a console to play the game on.    ;)
