Definitely.

Been playing some ARMA II and controlling the aircrafts are the worst. I don't remember Operation Flashpoint being this bad, but that was ages ago when I could still play games like Street Fighter and Counter-Strike to a decent level.

It would be nice to have something simpler. So I'm really looking forward BF1943.

I need to find a cheap deal on XBL points before I can get anything else on XBLA.  If there is one, i'll probably get it on 360.

I wish the PC version was out the same day, but I can adapt.  The controls in Bad company were a bit too touchy, almost like the acceleration was too high or something.

I just nabbed 1600 points, which should be enough for me to buy Battlefield 1943 and Point Lookout.  Only other XBLA titles I will be buying is Monkey Island and Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Just create a US Live profile and buy one of those 4000 points for about Ł18.

Use the US profile to buy and download what you want, and then you can play those games using your European profile. Just make sure both profiles are tied to the same console.

hummmmmmmmmmm.... if that really works like, almost flawlessly... I'd get 133 points per usd spent rather than 73 points per usd spent given that I'd have bought 4000 american points vs 4200 european points. is there any catch to this?

I have a US account that I have used to buy over 8000 points of content and it all works great with my regular Canadian account. Go for it.

No catch, I've purchased plenty of Japanese content for use on my U.S. account.  As long as both accounts are tied to the same Xbox, there's no problem!

Alright so just to make sure, this works with add-ons as well? I got 4000 points from some ebay ad that I found through CAG, so I dl'ed Worms 2 and everything works just fine. Thinking I should get the Fallout DLC now.

For those looking for points, the ad in question was from this guy: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/emoryjackie - got my code in less than a minute.

I can vouch for the points from that ebay classified. Between the cards I have from circuit city closing down, your360connection, and the ebay peeps I'm set for a long time on xbla.

Both me and the girlfriend are gonna get battlefield come wednesday on 360. If you guys wish to play maybe we should setup a time.

I dont care where these points are coming from as long as I'm able to keep the ones I have already :)

game modes are just conquest and a separate "air superiority" mode for the coral sea map

you can form four-man squads, though, which is nice

The game runs on dedicated servers, which would kind of make private games silly.  Just invite your friends and put them in a squad, so you only take to one another.

We'd be wanting to do games where it was one squad of friends versus another, but all friends-only.  Not a big deal if you can't do this; I'm buying the game regardless but they might not.

That's not good. I've played 2 games now and they both had considerable lag  :(. Also, there doesn't seem to be much choice when it comes to matchmaking, and quickmatch doesn't automatically research if no game or connection is made (i.e. "game is not available").

I managed to play one game that had almost no lag and it was alot of fun, so apparently that is hit or miss right now. But right after that game, my Xbox froze  :-\. Sure am glad that this game spent a month in certification.......wouldn't want to release a buggy mess or anything  ::)

Good News, the game is incredibly successful beyond even my expectations. We have reached server capacity, but the bad news about this now some people can't join unless someone leaves. But don't worry, we are adding more servers ASAP to Xbox and in preparation PS3 that should start going up ASAP with priority on Xbox 360.

We have also isolated the issue and improving until we have close to 0 packet loss.

Please keep an eye here for updates.

I have not heard of anyone else's console freezing, it just sounds like you have RROD issues incoming.

I'd wait a day or two for them to fix the issues.  I don't think anyone thought an Arcade title would be so slammed. :lol
