Agreed. The newer episodes mostly suck and the movie was trash. Spongebob fell off.

The movie was ace.  I don't know about the new episodes though. I watched a Spongebob yesterday that didn't have the same psychology or spirit.  It was just an average cartoon plot with Spongebob characters.
