Forget District 9. Forget Stark Trek. Forget Harry Potter, if you haven't already. Inglorious Basterds is THE move of the summer. It's got some truly intense drama, drama that doesn't merely rely on over-the-top violence to get the viewer interested. It's a slow movie, but rarely does it feel boring, which is a major accomplishment in an era where it seems like audiences have trouble paying attention if there isn't an explosion or robot peeing on someone every ten seconds. It's also got humor, that Tarantino brand of humor that gets you to laugh at people being ripped apart by machine guns, because, hey, they totally deserve it. It's suspensful, it's funny, it's tragic. It's got Nazi killin' and, at the end of the day, isn't that what matters most?
Go see this movie, as soon as possible.
