i couldnt even follow the guide correctly. i even burned Disc 1, then re-ripped as CCD, and couldnt find a way to do whatever they wanted in Alcohol 120%. who fucking does that? fucking NOOBS man.

Now make sure your both isos are called Policenauts1.iso and Policenauts2.iso and follow the instructions in the txt patch folder, also make sure you follow the emulation instructions in the txt with the correct epsxe version and pete's plugin

I got the game patched. If you guys want to get this game via the torrent route, just google "Policenauts .torrent." There's an ISO version up with plenty of seeds that can then be easily patched. Now to figure out how to combine the two discs together.

Demi, if you didn't combine the two ISOs and the game has no save point when it's disc change time, you won't be able to play it all the way through on PSP.

Thanks! I usually use an OSX app (for once) called Prometheus Pro, that rips and converts PSX games right into the correct eboot format with ease, but it can't do multi-disc game eboots as far as I can tell.

Impaler worked fine, but I might do it again (to add icons n' crap) anyway.

Policenauts isn't compatible with the latest Pops either, I hear it works best in 3.71, so that might be causing problems too.

Game loaded just fine on default but when I combined them with Impaler I had the same trouble lyte had.

well, they released the patch on August 24th (Japanese time). In addition to being Kojima's birthday (1963), if you examine the date on the wedding picture in Jonathan's office during the prologue, it says, "August 24th, 2009. A date I'll never forget."
I'm enjoying clicking through all the details so far. Each item seems pretty rich in backstory. Though clicking on each item multiple times to get all the info will likely get old after a while.

You can do this with almost every chick you meet. Some of the reactions are pretty funny. Kojima loves his titties. At the hospital and Johnathon and Ed have a conversation about when the best time to peek up the director's dress is.

For some Snatcher fan-service, make sure to click on a guy in a red turban sitting in the waiting room of the hospital.

IIRC they made this version of the game with the Playstation Mouse in mind. I did okay on a target practice shoot though, can't complain about it too much, but like Snatcher I don't see the point since it's generally too easy and doesn't control as well as it should.

One more heads-up: You're going to need to get a picture of all the Japanese clan crests used in the game to proceed at one point in chapter two. Normally they're listed in the game manual. Easy enough to google though.
