I can't believe it. I was sitting at my computer, checking my e-mail when my dad told me to come into the living room to watch the first replay. I noticed that Denver took the lead, so I asked what happened. My dad said that the play was too weird for words, so I watched it. And I told him that it was weird, but the Bengals keep finding new ways to lose games.

Good news for the Falcons is that our defense looks fucking beastly. Matt Ryan looked shaky early but settled down, and Turner couldn't really do shit until the last drive but our offense was sufficient, I guess. WTF is up with Elam missing two pretty makable field goals and an extra point, tho?

Edit: For those still watching the game on Fox, NBC is doing its pregame show on site this year. So they're on the field at Lambeau, one of the Packers' practice balls comes over to the set. Costas lets Collinsworth answer a question and then gets up and passes the ball back to a Packer. Pretty good spiral on it.

I find it shocking that the number four defense in the league can add a two-time Pro Bowler on the line and somehow get worse.

If it's true the NFL would've fined us. The league sent officials to check it out and they found no evidence of cheating. We're just really fucking loud.

The NFL sent a monitor for a grand total of one game to look for evidence.

It's Seattle's dirty, little secret - everyone in the whole league knows it. Whatever. Some teams do the whole, "Oh, the headsets aren't working!" routine or fucking with the visitor's locker rooms.

Seattle pumps up the volume to get penalties and inflate fan egos, big deal.

Recently, everytime I watch sports on Fox, it's like a daggum slideshow. Dropped frames, slow FPS, whatever it is... it's not smooth. I want to blame my local affiliate, but it's not like that with all camera angles, so it makes it seem like it's Fox. With baseball games, for example, it's horrible on the pitch when the camera angle is from behind the pitcher and facing the batter. Other angles are usually OK. I googled the issue, seems to be common across the country. AVSforum, I think, has a long thread about it going back to July and baseball but updated with today's NFL games. Some are blaming Fox, some say it's an issue with the way Fox transmits the feed to cable providers and an incompatibility with a cable box (specifically, Scientific Atlanta), while others say they're getting it over the air so it can't be a cable issue.

Anyway, it sucks.
