They removed Vice City from Steam because of the license issues. At the time, two weeks ago, MJ's Wanna Be Starting Something was the song that was the problem. I haven't heard anything through the wire about other songs, but I'll trust Oscar's word. If you have Vice City on Steam, back up your files, because they will update and take those songs off.

Yeah there is a scripted part early on where a MJ song starts playing when you get in a vehicle and it definitely didn't play on the iOS version.

There is a story. It's mostly a straight forward dungeon crawler, theres no towns or world maps, etc. More of a hub world.

Word Derby gets a thumbs up.

Words with Friends but with a timer mechanic and a horse race motif. You get a random set of letters, spell the best word and then you get to move that many spaces depending on how many points you score.

The timer mechanic makes it very difficult to cheat as it puts you on the spot to post a word as quickly as possible to gain the most benefit.

.99 cents with some unnecessary IAP.

Yeah the problem with words with friends is that without any timer mechanic, the game was just a Cheat-athon.

I went ahead and blew away my jailbreak to play this. It's good enough. Ideally it's something that would be better served on a pc with a mouse and clicking but it's acceptable enough on an iPad even with the imprecise nature of touch and fat fingers.

Really excited to FF4 then if its good (its the only mainline FF except 2 that I haven't played) , should I choose an easier setting from the get go, or are the super hard grind parts optional?

Wow nice, as Stony said Words with Friends doesn't cut it. My gf called me a scrabble snob cause I commented on her just trying out random things for points, Im repaying her now by using scrabble cheat and see what she says when I win.

There is a Majesty game out for iOS. I picked it up for 99 cents. Hopefully it plays like the old pc version.

The only drag on bard's tale is the huge file size.. Otherwise a whole lot of fun.

Seems like a very touch based game so it probably works fine. I bought it last night but haven't got around to playing it yet.

Also Middle Manager of Justice by Double Fine is out. It's free to play but since I haven't tried it yet I don't know how bad the iap are.

Aren't the classic games really poorly ported? I saw screenshots and the keyboard is always on the screen, the actual game window is so goddamn tiny you can't do anything.

Also have fun playing the entire game using a virtual keyboard.

I don't know, I thought the big appeal of cook serve delicious was fumbling with the keyboard. If all the functions are replaced with touch buttons I'm not sure it'll be as fun.
