Dude, that trailer was put together poorly. It's a collection of random scenes. The "humor" demonstrated in the trailer is stupid, and it just looks like a bunch of action set pieces oddly arranged

they didn't, Lionsgate only bought the distro rights, Millennium films put up the coin. They were actually a major producer of DTV stuff throughout the 90's and graduated up to big boy pictures (The Black Dahlia, Righteous Kill, Rambo IV) only in recent years, they still make a bunch of higher-tier direct to video flicks though.
