flannel girl was a strong visual. and there was the creepiness factor stemming from Malek's inability to speak with her. there was even that one episode where she saw him staring at her breasts or something and he was sweating alot?

cute girl is generic, and they've spoken to each other like normal human beings so that generic element is compounded further. I'm just ambivalent about malek becoming well-adjusted I guess.

What pisses me off is that I only complainned about my missing soldiers and he comes and calls me an idiot, I'm ok with him not admiting that they where cheating but why does he has to insult me? if it weren't for my other friends I would have beat his skinny ass.

lol I just noticed the "is" on that sentence, in my defence that guy has no cultural or religios reason to not drink, he was just a fucking antisocial nerd that didn't drink during his teen years and now he hates the taste of alcohol, he was talking about how he was not going to drink becouse he always gets an stomach ache the next morning even before we started drinking and another one of his excuses is "I don't drink with dudes" but he gets sick when his around womens(true story) so I keep telling him to get a fucking cat since he can't be around fucking humans beings.

Day 3/10 for my vacation.

My car still has problems and the car dealership said it would take two days to get the part in (which would have been Wednesday) but as of Friday, they did not get it in. Realizing that it is taking a month to figure some simple shit out and probably a long ass time to get the part in and repairs, they gave me a loaner car, which is pretty nice. So now I'm back at my parents' place, where we'll have our Christmas dinner tonight. Should be excellent as we're having grilled prime rib and scalloped potatoes

My parents are turning into winefags, I should have asked Cohen or someone who knows whats up about what wine goes well with grilled prime rib.

Got my job interview tomorrow for my potential job transfer. Not really nervous at all and it is just an hour. I've interviewed with the man before and it was an hour timeslot then but it wound up lasting an hour and a half. We'll see what happens.

Kind of a nice way to wrap up an otherwise stressful and hectic year, although I will be back to work on the 28th.

Aren't such confessions subject to confessional privilege in the US? No such religious communication class privilege exists in Canada,* but such communications can be subject to privilege on a case-by-case basis.

Also I gave up on House this season. How is it?

I'm not aware of that privilege in the U.S. Therapists have to warn people if their patients say they'll kill them, but innocent bystanders don't have any duty to help each other (unless they are in control of the instrumentality or do the damage themselves.) You can make a citizen's arrest if you reasonably believe someone just committed a felony...so I don't know where confessions booths fit into all that.

edit: as for House, I dunno. I watch it randomly. I go to Hulu and look for the episode with the most interesting sounding disease.

Patent law is a lot more complicated than trademark law. I don't know whether the law itself is more complicated, but the subject matter in the cases definitely is. A tradename is a lot simpler to grasp than a dextro-rotatory isomer or a clopidogrel bisuflate. WTF?

Half these patent cases seem to involve Apotex, a producer of generic drugs in Canada. Their modus operandi involves trying to invalidate patents so that they can produce generic drugs sooner. In one case they tried to invalidate a patent by claiming the patent lacked utility. They won and then made a generic drug out of this "useless" patent (the case was won because the patent holder failed to disclose information, not because the patent did not have utility).

last night my moms cable box/tv decided to shit the bed and i spent an hour figuring out whether or not it was a cable box issue or a tv issue. at the end I never even really got an answer. get fucked video and sound with the two cable boxes (hers and mine) and my cable box works fine on my tv. figured it was a tv issue, right? well when I grabbed my wii and plugged it in using component cables in the same inputs I get no issues at all. what the hell.
