Just gonna post and not read thread.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT @ "He's Our You"
ffffu, it's 5am and I have school tomorrow, fuck I want to see the next episode :'(
Solo annihilated. There have been some hiccups this season but ultimately it's been pretty solid. The explanation of the island (by Hawkins) was rather meh, I rolled my eyes in fact. But the actual time travel has been tolerable, and has given lots of insight into shit. Solo said it's like fanfic, and I guess that's true. But eh, that's to be expected given the angle they're playing (time travel). I'm certainly more satisfied with this approach than that of the previous seasons (ie introduce a vague concept or object, sort of explain it 10-15 episodes later).
I miss the Jack/Locke interactions, true, but there's enough tension/drama for me to forgive the absence.
I can't complain about my biggest problem (relating to time travel) until I see how its handled by the end, but in the meantime some of my gripes
-some bad acting. Especially Faraday during Charlotte's death. Also Ben has lost whatever edge he once had, and is kinda becoming a hammy caricature
-island explanation. That scene was just...eh.
-Charlotte's revelation really seemed like the writers filling in plot holes. In S4 Miles says she has been to the island before, but she never really gives that impression. If she truly remembered Faraday from her past it would have come up. weak
-Locke's journey off the island seemed rushed.
