My uncle brought this up earlier today, so I introduce the topic to EB

I say world's fastest man>>>world's strongest man, simply because there's more money involved in speed. Being the strongest man might sound cool but ultimately you'd be nothing more than a star attraction on ESPN2. Maybe you could translate it into a successful MMA or boxing career but meh, you'd still be stuck in a specific market

Everyone knows who Usain Bolt is. Being not only faster than him but American too? Sheeit, you'd be The Man. Imagine dominating the Olympics every 4 years. Maybe retire in your mid thirties, then come out of retirement 8 years later and win gold again. Or imagine winning marathons without breaking a sweat. So many deals would be thrown your way.

Usain Bolt is also stronger than anyone posting ITT so I'd go with 'fastest'. Sprinters are very strong and powerful, they're just not strong relative to dedicated strength athletes. In terms of both everyday usefulness and global acclaim, sprinting speed wins hands down. Does anybody here know who Andy Bolton is? Thought not.

I'm pretty ambivalent about whether I'd rather be more stronger or faster...but being the "most in the world" implies something near unnatural about you. If you extrapolate what the strongest people are into "the world's most" the results aren't pretty. Extrapolating fast folk into the world's most...I could probably live with that.
