Are braces some sort of fashion accessory for hipsters? I understand that teeth correction can be done well beyond the teenage years but I've noticed that a lot of non teenage hipsters have braces. There must be some real life hipster and crooked teef' correlation.

A lot of people don't go in for their ortho check ups and don't wear their bands, so they wind up with braces but no treatment well into their 20s and even 30s. The bad news is that the wire will eventually break or dissolve and you'll be left with shitty looking teeth, and have to pay more money to remove the pockets than it took to put the braces on.
