It's funny how in the first semester of any physics, chemistry, biology, etc class, they always have to go over how the metric system works. It would suck so much to have to measure volume or temperature in Imperial units.

That said, noone's going to be purely metric for a long, long time. Time is, to a large extent, not metric, and I doubt anything's going to change that in the immediate future. They've added metric parts to scale time to an infinitesimal level, and I guess the opposite direction is also full of metricism, but the core is still imperial.

Even if it's not in multiples of 10, it's not nearly as arbitrary and it's a universal system so it doesn't cause any confusion for normal people or even for most scientists.

I just hate moderation in general unless it's to keep gross/loli from hitting your eyes upon entering a thread. But even then I think that should be fine if it's a link with proper description and not [img]. The moderation is the reason why gaf sucks and why I post here and only use gaf as a PR & sales database. That guy who got banned for saying the only people who keep their accounts on gaf are the ones who don't have anything strong to say was 100% on the mark. If you want to keep your account you have to basically say nothing. Stating how you actually feel about things just gets you banned.
